I love this course. You have enough tees to choose from to make it more and more interesting. The staff is friendly and work hard at making sure you have a good time. The course is always in good condition because the grounds crew works hard to make your experience wonderful. Don't miss playing this beautiful course. And, don't forget to rake the traps, fix your divots, and fix your ball marks on the greens! Have fun!

Whitehawk Ranch, located in the Mohawk Valley 38 miles north of Truckee and six miles south of Graeagle, is a little shorter from the tips than other Championship courses in North Tahoe, but it sacrifices nothing in beauty. Streams here snake through the course’s cedars, aspens, and pines, gathering in ponds and waterfalls. Although the course is mostly flat, fairway mounds will occasionally trouble golfers with uneven lies. Whitehawk’s greens appear attractively large, but they’re also undulating and fast, making par a challenge.

Played Whitehawk during a visit to friends in Whitehawk Ranch. What a beautifully maintained course - challenging and fair - in an absolutely beautiful setting. To get the most enjoyment from playing here, use the tees that will give you the best chance to make a decent score. Although it is close to an hour from Truckee, it is well worth the drive. Not far for Graeagle, where there are more courses to play, plus many picturesque places to see. Staff is friendly. Driving ranges ball included and nice area to practice chipping and short pitching. Highly recommended.

The Whitehawk Ranch Golf Course was in a magnificent, wooded mountain setting. The views were stunning and the course was absolutely beautiful. The course and facilities were perfectly maintained. The fairways and greens were pristine. The greens were receptive, smooth, moderately fast and had very interesting contours. Overall, the course was challenging but not overly intimidating. They have a nice practice facility, clubhouse and a proshop. The staff were all friendly and efficient, from the head pro to the lunch shack and bag handlers.

The "Golf Made Simple" program was a very different approach. It demystifies a sport which has traditionally been taught in an overly complicated fashion. The mornings consisted of about 4 hours of teaching and drills. We were provided a nice breakfast and lunch and our pro ate lunch with us. The afternoon was a 9 hole playing lesson with the same pro. The second and third mornings we reviewed our individual videos before we started. We spent the three days with a PGA pro, Cody Vukovich. He was wonderful. He was very patient, calming and knowledgeable.

I attended the 3 day Golf Made Simple Golf School, located at this location. The course is stunning! The practice facilities top notch, the customer service outstanding. The fairways are beautiful, greens are true, and it was easy to find my way around the course. The snack shop serves sandwiches, drinks, and encouragement. I observed the Pro Shop deal with two customers at 8:30 one morning. He had a 10:20 Tee Time and was insistent that he wanted on right away. The attendant worked something out for the couple, then the guy says fine, but we are going to go to the range first. The attendant didn't bat an eye, just said fine, let me know when your ready. I was impressed.

This is just one spectacular mountain course near Graeagle, CA.

Filled with sights, sounds and smells of the mountains. Blowing Pines, Lakes, River (runs through it).

They have lots of inexpensive golf packages and the accommodations are very nice

The course is just tough enough and immaculate. I've never seen golf balls sit up on the top of the grass like they do here. In the beautiful fairways (if you can stay there). it's a perfect lie every time.

Great course, worth the drive.

Celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary we stayed in the cabins at Whitehawk Ranch and played three days of golf. The course is in excellent condition and the first few holes of the front and back nine are on the meadow side while the remainder of the ones wind through the forested areas with streams here and there to add to the ambiance. One of our favorite destinations.

Whitehawk is the kind of place which takes you back to a simpler time of outdoor fun, home cooking and small one room cabins sweetly decorated. (We had friends who stayed in a beautiful home....if you need more room and want to cook.) But we loved our little cabin in the woods, walking down to the restaurant for a delicious breakfast, and meeting the kindest folks who worked at this wonderful facility. The golf was great too! They are close to many day hikes and lakes too.

We were in Graeagle anyway; but we had played this course a couple of years ago and had the opportunity to play again recently. It was a Sunday PM and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The staff was very welcoming and the course was in great condition. Coolers on the carts and fairly frequent visits from beverage cart.
