7 Km from Damro we arrived at Ramboda Falls. Our driver instructed us to take the Ramoda Falls Hotel shuttle down the steep road to the hotel. After paying access fee for the falls at the reception, we made our way down the elevator and walked to the falls.

Mind the very uneven steps to the vantage point and you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic photo opportunity. Plus there’s a little old chap producing and selling his art under a shelter at this point. So talented. We bought one, not expensive, small reward for an elderly gentleman who travels by bus from Kandy each day to make a buck.

The hotel management of Ramboda Hotel was magnanimous enough to all us to use their hotel lift to go down a few floors to have a closer look at the water falls.

Due to paucity of time and also due to the rather cold weather, a bath in the water falls was prudently avoided.

The hotel is located right on the main road between Kandy and Newerelia.

The water falls is magnificent and an added attraction to the hotel guests.

Recommended for those brave souls who love a rather bone chilling cold water bath in the falls.

One of the famous waterfalls in the country. Located in ramboda and a well built stairway is there to reach the waterfall which will make it easier for most people to enjoy the beauty of this waterfall. Hike will take around 1 hour or so for a person to reach this waterfall. Ideal place for a getaway with your loved ones.

We had visited twice to this Ramboda falls while going to kandy once & while staying in Nuwereeliya once. Once we walked down to the main fall & it’s great taking. A bit long walk but worth it. Second time we were hurry we found a short cut few step away to dip on the water. Stairs made to go for those who wanted to make a quick dip & go, one of my favorite falls in Sri Lanka

Don't forget to take your camera equipment when you get down from the vehicle. Ramboda falls hotel will provide free of charge 4x4 wheel drive vehicle to reach hotel reception. There you can take photographs at waterfall view balcony or from restaurant as well as garden bellow the restaurant. Waterfall view available from some of the guest rooms which are facing to twin waterfall. Also you can use the steps to walk down to both waterfalls and natural pools to have your bath or to experience the breeze around the waterfall.

Ramboda waterfall is place with natural creations. Its a cool area. It is a wonderful creation of god. Naturally its looks more beautiful. The climate is unthinkable. Ramboda waterfall is not that much dangerous. We can go with our families. We have to walk maximum 2km to reach ramboda fall. But its not a proper road. We have to go to the ramboda fall through a forest road

It was a amazing to see the beautiful waterfall view from the room. Garden is so neat. there are safe foot paths to reach up to waterfall, natural pools. This is the one and only location i have seen three waterfalls from one location.

Newly build waterfall view luxury rooms and waterfall view restaurant with delicious foods added more value to the location.

Management and the staff brings further values to the hotel as they are preciously look after us and we felled so comfortable and homely with my family at my recent visit to Ramboda falls hotel.

I would recommend this hotel to any person who travel around NuwaraEliya as quality of the service and cleanliness of this hotel is similar to 5 star hotel.

The Ramboda Ella (Puna Ella) double fall is unique in the ‘Y’ form where two waterfalls with two water sources merge in to one at the bottom. The water in the fall on the left is from the Puna Oya, A canal which comes through the forest reserve above. The fall on the right hand side is made up from water from Pundalu Oya which flows through cultivated land above. Most of the year the fall flowing through the Pandalu Oya carry more volume but during periods of long drought the role is reversed. The water on flowing on the left fall remains more or less the same while the water on the other fall reduces significantly.
