- BackPacker57465920 contributionsBeautiful oasis. This place is heaven on earth, a cute little oasis ! We had the place to ourselves for hours. Probably our favourite spot on the island. John and his son Atta are so friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed chatting with them. The fish pedicure is fun too! So very ticklish and lots of laughs. The area by the waterfall is so lush and green. The waterfall isn’t huge (none really are on the island), but it was very pretty and you can sit under the falls too. You can swim here as well, the water was perfectly refreshing, while the colour wasn’t very nice (it had rained heavily for days before we arrived causing murky water) we still swam and had a great time. We don’t usually return to places we visit but this was an exception that we look forward to going back to again. Highly recommend making time for this little gem.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 17, 2023
- susan b4 contributionsLatille WaterfallMy family and I really enjoyed Latille Waterfall. We paid $20 US for my husband and I and our two kids were free. The kind rastafarian man that takes care of the grounds has put in a lot of work into make the experience memorable. It's a short walk down to the falls with some steeper steps but the wooden handrails give you some sure footing so it isn't difficult. The waterfall is quite beautiful surrounded by the lush green rainforest. We did not end up swimming in the lagoon area as it was a little murky but standing in the waterfall is cooling and refreshing. After the short hike we went to the fish ponds where you can get a fish pedicure. My kids loved watching the fish nibble their toes. Highly recommend stopping by this waterfall along with the one in Dennery.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 3, 2024

It is the most beautiful of all the waterfalls we saw in St Lucia, even in the middle of a rain storm! The owner and his son are so friendly and passionate about sustainability. - Grant MHeadcorn, United Kingdom160 contributionsA nice morning out to meet the Hungry Fish. What a nice experience. It's not modern, it's not new. It real. Getting back to nature. Started by sitting round a pond on hand made waters edge benches. Stick your feet and wait to start the laughter. It won't take long. They will come in their droves and start nibbling all over your feet and toes. The fish spa. A good way to relax and start the day. Then off for a walk down the jungle staircase to the enchanting waterfall. You get some lovely pictures down there. Only thing that spoils it is the inconsiderate idiots that leave their rubbish behind. Come on now people let's not spoil natural beauty.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten October 1, 2024

Wonderful little haven. Very cheap. 20 EC. The water looks a little dark as there are leaves at the bottom of the pool. I have been lucky and was the only person there the first time. The second visit a handful of people showed up, took a photo and then disappeared. Take some Piton and a picnic!

We really enjoyed our visit and I requested that it be listed on TA. This is one of the best-signed attractions just off the highway and it is hard to miss. It is 10-15 minutes north of the airport. There is a big sign in Miccoud that points at the turn off the highway and is just past the turn for Des Cartiers trail. Once you get there a couple minutes later, you pull in the driveway of a house and park in a small parking area to the side. A small energetic dog ran to us to greet us and we really loved him. He literally jumped up into my arms. There is a short series of well-made stairs with handrails down to a decent size waterfall and swimming area. You can go here on your own. There is also an option for a guided 30 minute round trip hike through gardens and forest down to a river. There is an old damn and a fun rope swing there. An older Rastafarian man greeted us when we came and explained the site and how he lived off the land. I think it was $20 EC per person or close to that anyway. The dog guided us down to the waterfall and back up. Then we started the guided hike and the dog led us to the river. Our guide was a younger Rastafarian man and he talked about the trees, herbs, fruits, Rastafarianism, how they run the property, the solar panels, and a lot more. We learned about different good-smelling types leaves, the complex process of processing cashews and bamboo cannons they use on holidays.
At the river, there is an old damn and maybe a 10 foot drop into a pool. There is a fun rope swing there that is a bit sketchy due to the slippery slanted footing, but our guide handed us the rope to make it easier. He was impressed with my backflip. After some debate, my wife convinced herself to do it a couple times. It added some excitement and a nice climax to the tour.
It was definitely worth the stop. Nearly everyone drives by on the highway, which it is only a mile off of so I definitely recommend it for a short visit.

Great little spot located 10 mins drive from the Fox Grove Inn. Costs $10USD to enter. Not many tourists so it's a nice place to enjoy a few hours. There are two falls, one of which you can jump into from the cliff above. The owner will show you the different herbs and plants he grows on site. Plan to spend 1-3 hrs here.

The other falls on the island are nice, worth the visit and most resorts push them, however this waterfall is not acknowledge by most resorts or mentioned to visitors because a local owns the property and he gets the money brought in! This waterfall was breath taking not only because it was in complete solitude but it is a locals private property maintained beautifully all done on his own & he is truly proud of his land!! The owner is a very nice man, great to talk too & proud to show you his hard work done over the years including the 2 homes he has made by hand next to the fall.......ITS A MUST SEE!!!

You must travel to Micoud and see the grounds and this waterfall.
The owner and his wife are delightful , and this remains one of my favorite memories.
I always sing a song for a photo request .
There is "peace" in the ground here as I have
found to be true upon visiting.
Hop a taxi, go and see for yourself .........

"I feel like we just got ripped off," my husband said as we stood looking at the minor waterfall we had just paid 20ECD to climb down and see. The guy who took our money had a vibe of one of those guys who hangs around places that are supposed to be free and charges the tourists admission while letting the locals come in for free. (To be clear, I don't know for sure that's what was happening; that's just kind of how it felt.) If this was the same owner that other reviews have mentioned, he was definitely having an off day, and he didn't offer any info beyond showing us the path to the falls. The falls themselves are fine and pretty enough but nothing special. They'd be worth a stop if they were free, but for the admission paid, we both just thought "that's all?" The pool at the base of the falls was murky and cloudy and not remotely appealing to swim in, at least the day we were there (though it had been rainy recently, so maybe it's nicer at other times.) The one thing I did really appreciate was that there were lots of people there who seemed to be locals, and they were very much making use of and enjoying the area.

The Gardens are run and owned by a lovely Rasta who has lived here all his life. The place consists of lovely grounds with a pond where little fish will nibble at your feet and give you a very nice pedicure. You can then walk down to the waterfall and pool where you can sit or stand beneath the waterfall for a great natural shower and then swim in the natural pool formed by the waterfall. The water is pleasantly cool and a great break from the heat of the day. The setting is a tropical jungle clearing with the amazing pool. As we were completely alone it felt like a paradise just to ourselves (Tuesday around 3pm). You can also take a 15-20 minute walk to a much deeper pool below a dam' where you can dive from the dam and get a great swim.
Finally you can buy a few carved goods and souvenirs if you wish.
WELL worth a visit, idyllic setting and environment. Bliss!

How does one get to the falls from Laborie by bus?
Written March 20, 2017
You would need to take a bus from Laborie to Vieux Fort
From Vieux fort you can take a Castries bus to the falls
The Castries bus stand is located lower down Massy stores New Dork Road on the right side of the road ( right next to the old M&Gs)
So you cross the street from by the plaza where Massy Store is located
Then you walk straight ahead ; you can't miss it
Should you be uncertain...just ask a passer by
The bus driver will then drop you at the gap
There is a sign saying "Latille Waterfalls " on the left hand side
From there it's about a 10 minute walk in and there are signs all along the way
Bon Voyage !

How difficult is it to get to the waterfall and what is the cost. Thanks, Marian H

Hi, we were driving our own car and it was easy to find.
As people have previously said it is about 5 miles from the airport - and about an hour from the Rodney Bay/ Gros Islet area. It was 5 minutes off the main road on the island, paved all the way with signs making it easy to find.
Once there you must navigate some stairs, but they are in reasonable condition and with handrails - my two year old managed without help, but no wheelchair/buggy access.
We paid EC$20 per adult, which although more expensive than other waterfalls I personally was happy to pay it as I knew it was going into a locals pocket rather than to some off shore developer, AND we had the whole place to ourselves and it is a lovely setting.
Hope this helps.
