We had a great day at Aquatica San Diego.
Really liked the Lazy river and wave pool but the best was the slides. They have a great assortment of slides for different experiences.
Had a really great time (besides the sunburn).

It’s worth the drive out to Chula Vista to visit this waterpark. The water is very clean and the park is well run. We paid to skip the line and that was awesome we were able to go on several innertube slides multiple times. Totally...More
Have been to water parks all over the world and this was a great venue but the queues were ridiculous. Not even that long as it wasn’t too busy but so poorly monitored that the flow was almost non existent.

My granddaughters are older 6 and 8. There’s nothing for infants. Even the lazy river I would not consider safe. They enforce height limits at the wave pool requiring life vests on those below the required height. There are shaded areas for some loungers and sand chairs but it’s first come first serve. The cabana is the safest bet for guaranteed shade.
On the food I discovered the self serve food area had hot dogs, churros, and stir fry a good deal cheaper and less wait than the burger and pizza lines.
