You could call this park “Recreation Central” because of the tremendous range of activities on offer, from disc golf and mountain bike trails, to soccer and baseball fields, two 18-hole golf courses, an Olympic shooting range and archery field, a dog training center and radio-controlled model plane airport -- something for everyone.Prado is also renowned for its bird-watching opportunities, and is a seasonal home for the endangered Least Bell’s Vireo. The park plays host to an annual Civil War reenactment and the Lake Matthews Dog Show.Prado Park is part of the Prado Basin, with rolling hills and grasslands dotted with stands of black willow trees. Chino and Mill creeks border the park’s western and eastern boundaries creating a riparian, or river bank, habitat before the creeks merge with the Santa Ana River. What’s more, the park is conveniently located with nearby freeway access and the convergence of four counties: San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles.

This huge recreation area is convenient to all of Southern California, and yet seems remote. There is something for everyone, hiking, shooting, fishing, camping. We've spent many happy days here and a few uncomfortable nights. Because of the water from the dam there are many mosquitoes and many many more ants. Be Prepared.

Clean and easy to access the location. We had over 600 attendees at an event. This is the 8th year and it met our expectations.

Big park . You can rent paddle boats on the weekend only. It has a really big water play ground. It also has many things like dog shows, Boy Scout camping and civil war reenactments. Also you can camp there and fish. Good for family big picnics

We stayed on the group camping area, an area obviously popular to those with kids such as Scouts etc, who ideally need bathroom facilities fairly close at hand. Yet the nearest facilities to the group site are over 600ft away which is a heck of a walk in the middle of the night. And once you get there? Beware the... More

We are improving our restroom facilities and ensuring that they are cleaned on a daily basis to suite everyones needs. Since the restrooms are outdoors it is difficult to stop all pests from going in them. We hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for the review. More

Good place to go birdwatching. A variety of habitats and a wide variety of birds. One of the few places in Southern California reliable for vermilion flycatcher.(on the frisbee golf course). It can be a bit crowded with picnic and other activities but it all works out. Pay parking but worth the cost. Oh, it closes early so be careful... More

My husband and I went camping there a few years ago (actually, in October 2011) upon the recommendation of some friends of ours from church, and it was a mixed bag for us: The pluses: The campground is beautiful with a lake, green grasses and wide open campsites. There is a lot of privacy, and you really do feel like... More

This was our first time at this campground, full RV hook up site. Plenty of room between sites, lots of sites with good shade. Great place to hang out at the campsite. Kids had fun riding bikes around the park and made lots of friends. No luck fishing although we tried. No store on site if needed. Staff and Rangers... More
