You must check out the great swimming hole with the water that flows through. Get on the bridge that crosses the creek for super photo ops. It's an actual creek flowing through town and this large pool was created. Pretty unique!

I always love spending an afternoon strolling along the creek. It’s beautiful and the lack of hills makes it an easy trip for the entire family. Definitely worth checking out if you find yourself with a couple hours to kill while visiting Chico.

Beautiful Park anytime of the year. Easy walking paths, great place to take your dog for a walk, a dip in the creek or a picnic at many of the benches along the way.

I have during the past 30 years walked the six mile loop around this park at least 500 times. It is a pleasant, lovely experience.

Lots of people out for a walk on a sunny afternoon. Paved paths for wheel chair access. No distance markers however-watch your watch.

The park is huge and a local attraction. We ran in the annual Almond Bowl Run and it was a very nice place to run. I would go back

Bidwell Park is one of the largest metropolitan parks in the country in a fairly small town. Chico has a little more than 100,000 people. Any parks larger than Bidwell are in larger cities. It has softball fields, a creek running through it and through...More

There are 2 parts to Bidwell Park. Lower Park is close to downtown Chico. The walking trails are hard-packed and you will find people walking, riding bikes, roller blading as well as riding horses. Several trails are along side the creek. It's always cooler under...More
