Not only kids climbers, picnic areas and swimming holes, but lovely walking paths. The grandkids loved throw twigs into the creek to see them float away OR rocks, to see who could make the biggest splash! Lovely afternoon spent here for zero dollars!

Lower Park - the part of the park that's kind of "in town" - is dog friendly but dogs need to be leashed. It's a large park. Upper Park - is dog friendly and dogs don't have to be leashed. In the summer keep an eye on your dog as there are rattlesnakes. I've seen a number of them but i leave them alone and they leave me alone. Dogs, however, are curious. We rarely have a snake incident but it's always wise to be snake conscious. Upper Park is HUGE. There are miles of trails. We have been known to leave a car at the "in town" end of Upper Park (near the golf course) and then drive several miles up Highway 32 to "the green gate" and then walk for a few hours back down trails to the parked car. TAKE WATER in the summer. It gets hot here. Today isn't bad as it's only forecast to be 100 degrees. We get days much hotter than that so water is important if you are hiking.
