As you amble slowly through Bidwell Park in Chico, California, either walking, running, bicycling or driving, the enormity of the Park in the middle of the City is mind- boggling. When I could, I used to run 5 miles daily in the Park, swim at 5 mile or the Upper Park, hike with my dog in the upper reaches of... More

Springtime in Chico is magical. Taking a stroll up the North Rim Trail in Upper Bidwell Park is a true connection with nature at its most beautiful and a chance to meet fellow nature lovers in the community. Go back regularly or at least several times during the pleasant spring. Waves of wildflowers come and go as the season progresses.... More

Spent half a day here while our grandson was attending orientation at Chico State. There is a great cement pond on one side and on the other there is a beautiful playground area for the younger kids. It is a beautiful place, to walk, run or cycle too.

Goes from a shallow end to a deep end, but... More
