I had read the reviews and wasn't going to stop here but did while passing looking for the Bat Cave, all the other writers were spot on, summed up in one word "Crap"

I told my partner that I did not read anything on Floating Market that was worth visiting in Khao Yai. We saw the road sign while driving and my partner insisted on going. True enough, there was nothing worth seeing. Only good point of visiting this Floating Market was due to this detour from our original travelling plan, we chanced upon Toscana Valley Country Club, a hidden gem in Khao Yai.

Khoa Yai Floating Market

I enjoyed the casual stroll through the initial garden and being introduced to the large fish. There wasn't a market. I think it's still in development.
I wish they had made their displays around the pond authentic Thai rather American/English.

Not recommended. Nothing to see, they charge you entrance. Lost time and money. I was there with motorbike and just went on to see khao yai.

Not much to see and feels that it is commercialised with just few boats selling food. Crowded and dirty.

Dun waste your time

Really a waste of time and money to visit this. There’s nothing much to see. Other than a small garden, it only feature shops around a midsize pond. Most of the shops are not open anyway.

Need to pay 100bahts for each adult too.

Call me a traditionalist, but I like my floating markets to be on the water, not some hole dug in the ground in the middle of nowhere. On top of this, there is nothing at the “floating market”; no great food venues, quaint shopping or anything of interest. Khao Yai is loaded with attractions, and this is not one of them.

I’d float straight past this

So what might have been a nice stroll along a bit of water becomes an exercise in walking by stalls trying to sell you stuff or food to eat. A bit like a rustic shopping mall. Might work for some but I was bored stupid.

Haunted market
Jan 2018
Please do not go!!! The market was so dirty and smelly place. They opened only 3-4 shops on the day that we have gone, the rest were closed. Such a waste if time!!!! At the entrance we paid THB 100 each person including with 1 drink, 1 bowl of noodle, and free feeding animal. All the way I have seen only 2 stops that we could see some grass to give to animals but the rest area, the tray for feeding was empty plus those animals were so tiny. I felt so bad to see them starving and begging for food but there was NO FOOD.
The free noodle and drink were awful, we could get one better from another place. By the way, it was only 6 people on the day I went, it was so quiet and no fun at all.

A waste of time

Starving and emaciated animals in a small and poor zoo. I felt pity for them. The government should close that business and rescue those creatures. You pay 100 Baht entrance fee for nothing. The garden area looks messy and untidy. We didn't see a boat on the water. Where is the market?????
