We arrived with 3 kids, aged 4,6,8 and 2 adults. They wanted 750 THB entrance fee. Each person, little kids and even a 4 y.o. to pay 150 THB. Ridiculous. I offered 500. No, so we did not go. Just before us a mini bus...More

Though I did not challenge the maze myself but the children and my friends had great fun. It was tiring no doubt and definitely not a easy maze where you can leave young children to conquer themselves, the adults who had gone in had expressed...More

I went there with my two kids. I have to say it was much better than I was expecting it to be! Very cleverly designed, nicely laid out, and well maintained. The maze itself is huge, and not easy! It took us about 40 minutes...More

Challenging maze. Good for people who enjoy puzzles. The hedges are way above adult head, but there are bridges midway that allow you to think about possible routes through the maze. It might take at least half hour if you have time and energy to...More

For families with young kids to run around and expend their energies, this may be what you're looking for. There're always the emergency exits if you really can't find.your way out. Likely suitable for adults who may compete to find the exit too. There are...More

It is a nice ice place to exercise your mind and try to decide how you want to walk out the Pete Maze. Just take it easy. Don't be too anxious about time. Discuss with friends way that you think is possible. Good try for...More

Do the maze and let the kids figure out. Fun for them. Not crowded. You may want to go in the morning if afraid of the afternoon sun.

Nothing in March? (1 Reply)
Plan to go Khao yai on 18-20/3 /18, been told nothing to see on march, waterfall less water, grapes been harvested ... Anyone can suggest that what we can do during this period, we have 4 adults and 3 kids. Our purpose to see the nature beauty of national park and some interesting place like Pete maze for kids, chocolate villa, alpaca and animal feeding.. etc. If I still plan to go should I skip the national park? Thanks in advance..

Too late for OP but... waterfalls in Khao Yai are still there, they're not totally dry, so you can still go. there's just not as much water. whether you should skip the national park entirely depends how much interest you have in nature. there are still lots of treks in the park to do, and lots of animals to potentially see.

Getting around in Khao Yai (4 Replies)
I'm planning for a short trip to Khao Yai and wishes to stay at the Hobbit Hotel and visit places like Palio Village, Farm ChokChai, PB Winery, Pete Maze, Midwinter Green etc. A quick search on google map tells me most attractions are at least 1 hr or more of a drive away! Is there any public transport like taxi, tuk tuk or even uber in Khao Yai? Or is hiring a private driver/guide a must when we wishes to explore this place?

All your destinations are in and around Pak Chong town or Khao Yai national park. Most tourists stay in Pak Chong so the drive time to those places is 20 minutes but you are staying 45 minutes north of Pak Chong so it's 20+45 minutes for you. No metered taxis. Your hotel is on the main road to Korat, so you should easily be able to jump on a minibus or a bus, however you would probably need the help of your hotel to arrange that as you wouldn't know where the bus/van stop was. If you...More

You can give PB Valley miss unless you want to tour the farm which I doubt so looking at your itinerary. Nothing here except a small little place for you to feed chickens, ducks and rabbit. Waste of time here honestly For lunch you may try Krua Khao Yai Restaurant, its just opposite The Chocolate Factory. As for Sunflower field, I will recommend you to go to Rai Maneesorn in Pak Chong. Your driver should know the location. Entrance fee apply. Pay extra THB10/pax to gain access to all...More
