Scenic beach in Cayucos. Large pier is open to public and beach is very dog friendly. Lots of families and people walking their dogs riding bikes.

This is the best beach in the area! Very protected so was less windy than the beach at Morro Rock. We love it! Lots of surfers to watch and whale watching also from the pier!

Stopped at two of the turn outs and walked to the bluff. One trail took us down to the beach and some very unusual rocks. No one was around and it was wonderful.

Maybe it was due to the time of year (end of November) but there was not much beach due to high tide. Dogs are not allowed to run free, but they should be here! Also, no dogs are allowed on Cayucos Pier!
