Carpenteria beach is just the best beach around. And it is always packed. They have volleyball courts and tent camping near by. There are tide pools at the very end. It's just an overall beautiful and relaxing beach.

I needed a place to stay for the night whilst driving up the coast and, being unfamiliar with any dispersed camping that may be available in the area, I snagged one of the few available tent spots for a staggering $53 ($45 + $8 fee) on ReserveAmerica. I was a bit taken aback by the price but figured it was... More

It is a very nice beach, flat, not very crowded. The waves are not that rough. There are no rip tides so it is relatively safe. I really enjoyed this beach. It is not crowded at all which is a big plus. If you bring a lunch, there is a good picnic area here. There is an entry fee, but... More

Stopped at the Beach on the way back from Solvang to have some cheese & wine in the beach! Great sunset to watch against the ocean mirroring the color of the sky.... Excellent way to cap off a lovely day!

It is a nice beach. We stayed at HI Express which was very good. But there was an oil spill in 2015 that damaged this Santa Barbara coast line and still remnants remain. See photo of my foot. Really hard to get off.. (see photo). You can't see it when walking so I guess it is burried in the sand.... More

We went on a road trip from LA to Monterey and stayed in Carpinteria on the way back. I was super excited to make it to a beach that was warm enough to swim and lay out. The beach was packed! And surprisingly dirty with tons of litter all over the place. The sunset was still pretty but this wouldn't... More

Nice trails on the bluffs, to walk and have a beautiful view. Trails were well marked. Great beach for kids.

The thing about Carp is that there are so few beach towns left with such a small town vibe. The beach itself is charming - small and usually crowded. It has a large camping area to the south and an RV park that is popular. There is a large grassy park, and clean restrooms. Lifeguards. Safe, shallow, sandy beach. Beautiful... More

Carpinteria is a beautiful beach town that offers space to sit on the beach, explore, and relax without feeling like you are crowded with tourists. Great restaurants where the hospitality makes you feel right at home.

This beach is very popular with people of all ages, and I can see why. It is very well kept and is very large, suitable for various activities. The water is beautiful and it is definitely worth taking a walk along it. Overall, this is one of the best beaches and I would recommend it.
