This place we did know about before we hit Carpinteria, and we had planned get our early morning walks in with the dogs. It didn't disappoint, you can walk the coastal pathways by the ocean and admire the great outdoors. It was nice to read that this place was pioneered by groups of concerned locals and is mandated as a wildlife trust forever. It's pretty rustic and not too busy. I was surprised how casual folks are up here around the railway tracks, which run right by the oceanside cliffs. In fact to carry on using one of the paths you have to criss-cross the tracks on foot which is a little nerve-racking at first. But the good thing is you get a real close-up view of the trains as they pass by. A real breath of fresh air and a beautiful spot by the ocean.

We spent the morning walking the trails along the bluffs, going down to the beach and watching the seals and birds on the beach. It was all very beautiful and my daughter had a blast watching seals. Definitely time well spent!

really enjoyable walk, mostly level so I would rate it Easy. Views of the ocean quiet bench to rest and reflect and walk on to the docent area where they can tell you all you want to know about the harbor seals

You don't even know that you are walking so much...we walked about 12miles! The beauty and nature you find along the way make the miles fly by. Many of the other sites to see are along this path.
