Excellent equipment and superb staff. Rented kayaks for my daughter (19) and nephew (21) at reasonable prices (about $30/hour with tax); prorated every 15 minutes if you go over. They had a blast and got good upper body workout. If you have a smart TV in your place you can watch them on TahoeTV channel.

I hesitate to write a review to keep this place less visited, but if you are looking for a place to enjoy the lake for a day, this is a great place. You can rent paddle boards, kayaks, have lunch or breakfast and spend the day on the water. Parking is very limited, so plan your trip early.

We paddled twice at Waterman's Landing. Once in the afternoon and again the following morning, both kayaks and SUPs. The beach was super pleasant, low-key and dog-friendly. The equipment rental process was very smooth. The staff was very cordial; but also was very professional and thorough in the areas of water safety, which as intermediate to experienced kayakers caught our attention and applause. Once on the water, the views of the Tahoe mountains from Carnelian Bay were vast and superb (see photos). We didn't have to paddle very far to feel like you're 'out on the lake with the world to yourselves' and we were there on a July weekend when other areas around the lake were quite crowded. Parking was fairly easy in that there were close-by street spaces when the lot was full. Having the Cafe there for afterward is nice and you're also a short walk or drive/park to Gar Woods restaurant/bar.
