Heller Estate has now become Maasa Estate. My three siblings and I brought our father here after we had seen croquet set up on the front lawn. When the owners heard that my father had just celebrated his 96th birthday, they brought out complementary champagne. We played a hilarious game of croquet according to "gopher rules" i.e. liberally interpreting rules to avoid the holes left by gophers. The owners brought wine to taste out to the croquet court and we enjoyed delicious snacks ordered from the menu. Full meals were available, too. The wait staff were very attentive to our needs. There was a nice wind protected area for diners and kids could run around on the lawn. This is a family-friendly outing—for young and very old.

This winery's tasting room is a very relaxing experience. The staff make you feel at home, and you can even bring food here while you taste or have a picnic!
Heller Estates has a wide range of wines and all of them are made from ORGANIC GRAPES!!!

We sought it out because Heller is our daughter's married name. Thought it would be neat to get a bottle of wine with their name on the label. Turned out to be a fabulous award winning organic vineyard. Just released their 2014 Pinot Noir, absolute finest Pinot Noir to ever test my palette! If you are a wine connoisseur join their wine club. They also have exquisite sculptures by none other than Mrs. Heller.

We have been wine club members of Heller for 6 years. We LOVE their wines! All the reds, especially the Malbec and Pinor Noir, are extremely tasty. We have purchased cases of the Chenin Blanc as our favorite white. We have done their annual grape stomp, which is so much fun!! Also their annual ladybug release has been a notable experience. But, their wines are by far the best we have ever had!! Plus, Constance and Alessandra, are such pluses in the tasting room!

We are into organic food and wine. This winery has superb whites especially the Chenin Blanc. The Cabernet is also excellent and great aging potential.
This winery is into organic wines and it really shows in there flavors. The taste is incredible. You must be a wine connoisseur to appreciate these wonderful wines!!

Great little place with some old wines, you can get bottles from the 80s and 90s from the library collection just released. The Reds are all very good, they have Pinot, a Meritage blend that is great, drinkable now. The Merlot is also quite nice.

I get headaches from red wine, but this wine is guaranteed to not give you a headache or a hangover. We tasted 6 delicious wines and bought 4 bottles, so it was a hit with us!

Our second time visiting the Wine tasting room in Carmel of Heller Vineyards was as pleasurable as the first. We aren't necessarily into organic foods, but Heller makes some lovely wines at a decent price point. Our tasting experience was low-key and all of our questions were answered without any snobbery or condescending tone. I certainly am not a wine connoisseur but do know what my tastes are.
We decided to join the wine club and received the discount on the spot for the purchase of 6 bottles and we paid for them to ship to our home. Upon arrival of our shipment, there were only 5 bottles instead of six. A call to Rachel at Heller and our 6th bottle was on it's way at no extra cost to us, along with a very humble apology. That is customer service!
If you wish to taste wine in a quaint little tasting room in Carmel Valley, check out Heller.

Carmel Valley is magical in and of itself, but the boutique, yet homey, Heller Estate is great. The wines are fantastic, location great, and people very friendly.

Heller was far and away our favorite stop among the assorted tasting rooms in Carmel Valley Village. The staff is very friendly, engaging, and genuinely enjoyed chatting. The wines were very good, each of us found a favorite or two, and we feel good supporting the organic grape trend.
