Located next door to The Hog's Breath Inn, the gallery has become a favorite of many people who have fallen in love with this remarkable part of the world. Gallery-by-the-Sea Carmel features gorgeous paintings and fine-art photography by best-in-class local artists. Among its many treasures, you will find spectacular artwork of Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, Spanish Bay and other local golf courses, and a growing selection of unique and alluring abstract and contemporary art. "We do our best to create a fun and welcoming experience, and consider our clients to be the heroes of the story," say the owners Michael and Elizabeth Lynberg. "If you are on a quest to add beauty and inspiration to your home and office, we are here to be your helpful guides. Our goal is to add to your cherished memories of Carmel."

After the sight seeing we did on the 17-mile drive, we were getting ready to go to our hotel and decided to visit this place and was pleasantly surprised with the items that we ended up buying. Prices are as expected nothing lavish. The attendant was welcoming and friendly.

A MUST SEE GALLERY! The Lynberg's showed us around during our destination wedding trip and we fell in love with how he is able to capture the majestic coast line. At the end, we received a complimentary note card of his art. After our wedding, we were looking for thank you cards that captured the essence of California's coast. No matter how hard we looked for the perfect card, our hearts kept going back to the note card from this Gallery. When we called the owners back to talk about obtaining these cards as our thank you's they were more than helpful. They o put the icing on the cake for our wedding thank you cards. We can't wait to return to this treasure in Carmel. Some of the best photos we've ever seen of California coast line!

My husband and I recently received our “Winter Waves” picture and have it displayed in our living room. All of Mike’s work is beautiful and a lovely tribute to the area they are based in. Liz is a delight to work with and helps you figure out the best size/frame/shipping/etc. for your situation. We would definitely recommend them!

We have purchased several of Michael Lynberg's pieces of coastal beauty and love the atmosphere it creates in our home. We don't live in California but this is the way that we can take it home with us and experience it everyday. He has captured not only the detail of each scene but also the feel that it evokes. Michael Lynberg's ability to enhance each photograph with ultimate life is a gift that each piece of art holds for the buyer. Our purchases will be a part of the legacy for our kids with memories of our times in the beautiful Carmel area. Michael and Elizabeth run their business with integrity and hospitality. We are blessed beyond words to have met the Lynberg's and share in the beauty of Michael's creative vision.

This was by far my favorite gallery in Carmel. Michael Lynberg was so welcoming and excited to answer any and all questions about his art. His work is phenomenal and a must see!

I stopped by Gallery By the Sea as their stunning artwork in the window caught my eye. I was met by the artist himself, Mr. Michael Lynberg. He was friendly & welcoming; his passion for his craft is truly evident.
If you are looking to take a piece of the Monterey Peninsula home with you, this IS the place to go!! They have some amazing pieces of an array of iconic Monterey landmarks and vistas. The prices of their artwork are much more reasonable and affordable than any other gallery in Carmel. Even though I'm a local, I left with two pieces(that I couldn't live without) to hang in my office.
For locals and tourists alike, this is definitely a MUST VISIT spot in Carmel!

The stone-carvings art on display at this gallery is a testament to human craftsmanship. Very unique and collectible pieces like fountain pens in crystals and Ruby skull. I recommend this place 👌🏼

We walked into this gallery looking for nothing in particular and walked out with two vibrant, colorful pieces of the area. Had a friendly conversation with the owner who discussed techniques in Photoshop. Being a designer myself, I really enjoyed sharing experiences. Absolutely no hard sell. Wonderful experience!
