Love going to this tiny theatre to see up and coming actors and artists. Great prices and great talent!

The Pacific Rep is a true gem of the central California coast. They produce shows that are the equal of Broadway, with no funds, no support, and a cast of volunteers, staff, actors, and supporters that are unequalled! One has only to attend a performance of "Buddy! The Buddy Holly Story", to be transported back to the 1950's.

Great location - close to the beach and downtown. If you want to round out your visit to lovely Carmel, consider taking in a play at Pacific Repertory. They hire professional actors, and produce both classics and off-broadway productions. Intimate setting and a casual atmosphere. Very impressive. Take a picnic dinner with a blanket and enjoy the sunset before showtime. The beach is just a short walk from the theater.

Lovely night, wonderfully talented actors & great music! Just great, better than some shows we've seen in San Francisco & New York. We will most happily return. Bravo to all who helped create this Pacific RepertoryTheatre!

Normally I woudn't go to an off-Broadway production unless I knew someone in the production, but I was invited by a friend, and I was pleasantly surprised. The lead actor (Travis Poelle), who had played Buddy Holly in the West Coast production of "Buddy — The Buddy Holly Story" was spot-on in the title role. He looks like Buddy, and even sounds a little like him. Of course, he was 10 years younger in the original musical, but still has the youthful looks and plays guitar pretty well, too. This version is also directed by Stephen Moorer, so it has a similiar look and feel, but more music - in fact, almost nothing BUT music! Ritchie Valens is capably played by Davitt Felder, and The Big Bopper by... well, I have to check my program for that actor, but he was fun. And the PacRep band, led by Don Dalley, really rocked the house! I especially enjoyed the keyboards, ably played by Steve Tosh, who is no spring chicken - but there was plenty of spring in his fingers! Just go and close your eyes, sing along, and have a good time - and remember when lyrics and melody mattered in music!

we were visiting for a couple of days and luckily there was a production of Anthony & Cleopatra on. Having seen this earlier in the year at Royal Shakespeare Company in Straford upon Avon my expectations were tempered. Such arrogance. This was a high quality production, brilliantly portrayed in the most intimate of settings. The proximity of the actors to the audience is compelling. Okay, so the ' bar' and lobby are basic, but that's part of the charm. A real highlight of our time in California.

A small and intimate theater in a beautiful residential neighborhood. Good seats everywhere. A variety of shows and performers. A nice selection of refreshments including wine that you may take into the theater.

We just saw this fabulous play in the Cicle a theatre which is adjacent to the Golden Bough and part of Pac Rep. This intimate theatre was a perfect venue for the play and all of the seats were good. I highly recommend checking out the plays at both theatres. There is amazing talent on the Central Coast.
