We signed up for Carmel Walks- and it was wonderful. Kelly was our guide for the morning, and he was quite knowledgeable about the town. I was intrigued by the Fairy Tale architecture, and he knew so much about the area, history, etc being a third generation Carmelian. We explored many alcoves, parks and the library. Many "natives" stopped to... More

Its almost like a fairytale walk. Coast on the end and nice cottage like houses followed by nice array of high end shops as you go further up the walk!! Stunningly beautiful

When in the Monterey Bay area recently we wanted to keep our Golden and Lab dry but give them off leash exercise. The trail that has several entrances, one at the Carmel Mission was perfect. This walk through the forest was good for us and the pups.

We took a walking tour in the morning. There were just four of us, which gave us the opportunity to ask plenty of question. Our guide, who lived there, was very knowledgeable - pointed out sights and told us the history of the village. Very enjoyable and inexpensive.

Gael Gallagher was our guide for a short walk around Carmel, bubbling with enthusiasm for Carmel and the residents (past and present) she shared the history, sights and sounds and showed us things we would never have come across otherwise - this is a must for any visitor to Carmel.

I loved walking around Carmel, it is so picture book pretty, the beach is wonderful and there are art galleries, homeware shops, wine tasting rooms and fabulous cafes and restaurants. Carmel is a great place to relax for a few days.

If you have the time, this is a great way to spend two hours one morning. Gale, the guide, is very knowledgeable helpful and upbeat. She gave some great background on local history, and showed us places we might otherwise not see. I would have preferred walking around more areas of the town, and less visits to local galleries, but... More

It was worth it, even in the rain :-). Kelley was very informative. Gave us tips where to go, what to do after the walk. The walk set me up for my first visit of Carmel. He knew a lot if history that he shared with our group.
