They have a coconut flavored cheese that is to die for! It’s cows milk but so delicately flavored. They have so many types of cheese. Head in there before your next dinner party and you won’t be sorry!

You can smell the cheese aroma as soon as you walk in. This is a consistent stop for me when I'm in Carmel. Whether you are putting together a picnic, an appetizer plate, or just a snack, this is your spot. Stop in and taste a variety of cheeses before you choose the one(s) you want. On this visit, we just picked up a small variety of cheeses to have with wine in our hotel room. The staff there is super knowledgeable and will give you suggestions if you don't know what you're looking for. They also have small-sized packages of crackers, salami, and other picnic items such as disposable plates and utensils. The whole back of the store is wine. Stop in and take a picnic down to the beach. You won't be disappointed.…

Within the Carmel Plaza near the top of Ocean Avenue, make sure you go to the Cheese Shop. They offer free tastings. Amazing choices from all around the world. They are a bit pricey, so budget wisely.

There folks know their cheese. You can taste before buying. It is a Carmel treasure. They are also purveyors of some excellent local and small vineyard wines. Their expertise is worth the time to get to know the team there.
