Lovely people run this fantastic little shop! I bought a Stetson cap (0.0 gallon) in grey that had an amazing back piece that clicks/clips on to protect your neck when you need it, or stores away in a neat little pouch in the top of the cap otherwise. And the lovely lady who helped me was totally brilliant, made the... More

A lovely day I have had celebrating my birthday! Time for one last stroll before turning in! Aha - what's that - I see hats! Oh, what a great selection! I also noticed and was impressed quickly of the person steaming his bowler as he welcomed us in! That's when we met ANGELO! A wonderful demeanor, smiling and friendly, and... More

I had read about this store.... it totally lived up to its expectations. Loads of hats, fairly priced. Designed by the owner, many are one of a kind! Salesgirl was very helpful.

The service was awesome, He had some great fedoras and an excellent grey/silver hat. We look forward to returning. The owner was very knowledgeable about all the different hat styles.

I have a huge head (XL mens). It's hard for me to find feminine hats that work. The owner recommended a hat his wife designed and stretched it to fit my noggin. I wore it all day (I may even sleep in it). I'm so happy. Oh, we originally went to get a hat for my hubby. He bought 2... More

Most of the people wandering Carmel are tourists, and they are looking for a quick remembrance of their stay- a tshirt, a postcard, or some little trinket from a shop. More well heeled might take home a painting from one of the multitude of galleries. But what people overlook are hats! Stop in to the Hat Shop and engage with... More

The Hat Shop is in the area of the art gallery stores in Carmel. We liked that they had a very good collection of hats on sell. Staff was very helpful.

I bought my favorite purse there years ago. I still stop in and shop every time we go. The people that work there are always kind and helpful.

Yes, there may be other hat shops in Carmel, however, they just do not have the talented staff employed at The Hat Shop. After a late evening dinner, my husband and I stopped in since we got a friendly wave from Barrett to come in though it was late. He was delightfully engaging and had an amazing knowledge about the... More

Amazing selection of hats! Very fun to visit and try on the practical, cool, chic, whimsical, and every day types. Store clerk was very knowledgeable and had a great customer-service attitude! If you're in Carmel, i highly recommend visiting this unique shop!
