This is a friendly Methodist United (Christian) church in Carmel. We were made to feel very welcome on our visit. It's worth looking around the well-kept gardens too!

While in Carmel, I stopped by The Church of the Wayfarer. The garden was lovely. There were lots of flowers and butterflies. It was a calm retreat from the world class shopping.

Delightful, welcoming, friendly, and so much a part of the community; this is The Church of the Wayfarer. Although there was not a service taking place while we visited, the doors were open, offering a superb opportunity to fill that spiritual (and voyeuristic) hole.
The gardens are quite exceptional; they provide an entry into this very community-oriented place of worship and center for community enrichment. It's a pillar in and of the community; Carmel is all the more enriched for the inclusion of these beautiful places of worship and service with so much to give.

This is a small an unassuming church, located a 5-minutes walk from Carmel plaza.
Not worth your time to actually lookup this place, though.
