My wife wanted to go to a vineyard instead of a tasting room so our concierge made some calls. Jack met us at the vineyard and gave us a tour of facility and cellar. We tried several varietals and got a case to ship home. The Ace High Malbec and Rancho Galante and Almond Flat Pinot are all wonderful, however... More

We went looking for this winery because of their bold reds. It was a little off the main street of shops but not too difficult to find. It was decorated in a western theme which we found amusing being as we are from Texas and didn't expect that décor in a seaside town in California. We were the only customers,... More

This place specializes in dry, dry reds. I loved all of them! The staff was very friendly to chat with and made me feel very welcome despite traveling solo. Loved galante so much that I went back for a second visit and met the owner, Jack. He was very nice. If you like white wine got to Dawn's dream around... More

A hidden gem located in the heart of carmel by the sea, so friendly and great wines. Better yet we had the opportunity to spend time with the owner and sample some of his older vintages only a true connoisseur could appreciate. Amazing!

My friend and I popped in to try some local wines while in Carmel last weekend and was definitely disappointed. They were pouring some of their library wines which ranged from $100-190 per bottle. They were offering a tasting for $20, which I thought was a steal to taste wines going for that much a bottle. I've never had such... More

Visited this tasting room with my mom late April , we tasted many wines in Nappa valley and these wines were by far our favourites! Bess was an absolute pleasure to talk to and gave us free tastings with the wine club ! She was extremely helpful with choosing our wine selection AND did her best to find the cheapest... More

The tasting room is a little hard to find, but don't miss it. This is one of Carmel's best. The people are terrific and the wines are absolutely wonderful with a lot of variety. We liked the Pinot Noir from Almond Flat, Cabernet from Blackjack Pasture and the Double M. The Olive Hill Petite Syrah was also a big hit.... More

Tucked away off Ocean Road, I found this tasting room by mistake, the wines are very good, I purchased a bottle of the Double M (excellent). Tasting is $10, but you get a great wine flight and a very relaxed vibe. Sociable tasting room, good wine.

We headed on over to Galante Vineyards tasting room and Western Emporium to taste their Carmel Valley Estate wines. They just recently celebrated their 10th Anniversary in Carmel's first "Wine Tasting Room." Galante produces and is best known for some of the regions best Bordeaux's. They also have some excellent whites with the latest called Wagon Wheel White being highly... More

John was so helpful and knowledgeable! he even offered to give us a private tour of the winery the following day but we ended up not having time to make it out there. the wines were very good and we really enjoyed this venue! it's hard to see in carmel because it is tucked...
