Relaxing and beautiful

Felt like a local. Just walking on the beach, hearing the waves and watching the dogs play. People seem friendly and relaxed. Would love to come back soon and stay longer.

This is such a beautiful beach! The sand is nice and clean. It is long enough to take a nice walk up and down. Dogs can be off leash. The only issue we had is that there were no trash cans (for doggie bags) on the beach. You had to go up the stairs/off the beach to throw away your... More

Both beaches are really beautiful, especially when it is sunny and warm. Even on a cloudy day people walk the beach and enjoy the views.

This is probably the best dog-friendly beach we've ever been to, and we've been to a lot. All of the dog owners we met were very responsible and friendly. We went there every day on our vacation and never once had a issue with an aggressive dog and never saw a single problem anywhere. The beach is clean and the... More

Beautiful walk, beautiful beach, shopping and beach together. Don't park on Highway 1 in front of point Lobos, cars are constantly being broken into there. Carmel beach is great.

Carmel-by-the-Sea is a charming village. The beach, at the bottom of Ocean Boulevard, is a beautiful spot. Wide, with powdery sand, the beach is family fun. The water is too cold for much swimming. Beach fires have recently been outlawed; but, that may change. Stop at one of the delicatessens in Carmel and get a picnic lunch for the beach.... More

We walked straight from the stores in Carmel on the Sea to the beach. It is a large, clean beach. The sand is very soft. People walked their dogs. There are pretty views of Carmel. I didn't see any showers, but there are bathrooms.

Clean and huge beach with some sand dunes. One end is Pebble Beach golf course. Too cold to swim in the water, it's not that type of beach! Good for photos and walking.

We went on a Monday, so not sure if that had anything to do with it, but it wasn't crowded, the water was blue and the sand almost white. It's a great beach and worth checking out.

Visited on coast road trip south as sounded nice and were looking for nice lunch place. Parked up in quiet back road and looked around town - expected more, nothing exciting, beach was foggy but a restaurant looked nice. Returned to car to change and ..... found a parking ticket, what for? We'd parked wrong side of road facing traffic!!!!... More
