Garrapta State Park provides more beautiful coastal bluffs and rocky shores teeming with wildlife. There are many places to hike and one can see many sea birds, pelicans and seals in this seaside park.

Was travelling south on PCH1 shortly after Christmas and stopped here as they have coastal access and a solid stairwell down to the beach. Lots of great views and plenty of beach and rocks for photos. Definitely worth stopping here while travelling down the PCH1...More

Short walks yield big views. Fairly level trails with good footing. Found out about this on the web - the signage is not good. It flanks HW1 between Big Sur and Pt Lobos State Park and is free. The trails and paths are well maintained,...More

This is a stop along Highway 1. Surprisingly stunning views. Worth the stop along your way to Big Sur. Has steps down to the beach and nice well maintained overlooks.

Yes, you can drive in and some of it would be handicapped accessible . It is a State Park however and in my memory, only a small part would be easily handicap accessible.
