If you are unsure as to what to do in Carmel and the surrounding areas then this place is a must. The staff are knowledge and and just by telling them what sort of things you like they can direct you. Great friendly staff.

I wanted to make sure I saw the fairytale Comstock houses & they had a brochure. I bought a book on them there also. Very friendly.

Staffed by lovely volunteers, knowledgeable, friendly and interested. I can not imagine the days when we had no visitor information center. We have a superb one now. just a little ways off the beaten path but worth the hunt!

However, parking is always a hassle and the street signs are all but obscure and impossible to read at night. They need to put up attractive, but utilitarian and thus easy to read street signs for night. Having... More

Always worth a stop here at the Chamber of Commerce, every time you come to Carmel to make sure you have the latest maps and up-to-date info on new restaurants, wine tasting rooms, etc.

This attraction should really have it's own "Things to do" listing, and I'm surprised it's not listed. If you're spending the day in downtown Carmel, and you enjoy wine tasting, this is a fun thing to try. First you stop by the Chamber of Commerce (open 7 days a week) and purchase their Wine Walk Passport. For $65 you get... More
