Used to be much more attractive

The grounds at La Costa Golf Course have really changed, presumably because of the water shortage. Whereas the green was alluring, the place mostly looks brownish today. That's... read more

What a place. This place is absolutely amazing and I'm not even a golfer. We went for a birthday party (rented out the ballroom), but when we got there, we found out they had many pools and lots of activities for the kids, to include a water slide. The staff was unbelievably nice. So nice I challenged myself to find... More

The grounds at La Costa Golf Course have really changed, presumably because of the water shortage. Whereas the green was alluring, the place mostly looks brownish today. That's a sharp contrast to the Omni Center (where it's located) which is a beautiful setting with the colors of a Greek isle. It's also quite pricey compared with some other nice courses... More

I just golfed here today with a group of 7 other friends including one of my friends that is a member there. I was surprised to see all of the negative reviews. Granted, most of them are from several months ago. I'm not sure how the course conditions were previously as this was my first time golfing here. It's a... More

We played the Champions Course--saw more sand there than I did on the beach. It's a challenging course. It's a high traffic area and cart paths can be confusing. Tip: If you are short on time and trying to decide between playing La Costa or Torrey, I would definitely choose Torrey.

The greens on the Champions Course are terrible. Extremely slow and inconsistent. The greens on the back nine even had little crushed rock pebbles everywhere. Putting was a complete joke. What a horrible waste of money. Perhaps the worst green/putting experience I have ever had at such an extremely high priced resort.

Managed to get a round on the Legends course for $135 each including buggy but even at that rate it is not worth the money. Fairways not great and most frustrating is the growth around the edge of the greens, very inconsistent as are the greens themselves. The highlight was the chicken wrap in the halfway house .....

We played the Champion course. There were four of us in our group. The course was in horrible condition: greens were marked up (ball marks), fairways were in poor condition, and the course was extremely expensive relative to this. Overall, very disappointing experience. We were informed that the Omni took ownership approximately four years ago, and the condition has deteriorated... More

Fantastic day at the kiddy pool with friends and a beautiful dinner overlooking the golf course .. Fantastic company and food. We were a bit chilly so they brought over heaters and large umbrellas we had a 15 min drizzle. Very accommodating!

Played legends on a Thursday at resort rate of $185, nothing spectacular, lots of OB and several holes lined with homes. Greens were beautiful and ran ran true, bunkers were all consistent. No GPS on cart but you could download an app for help, staff was great but I would not play again at that rate

Went here with a group of friends just last week. Horrible condition, not worth the money. Resort looks great golf course was brutal. Much better options for way less money. Aviara & Maderas were great.
