Before coming here, I didn't know much about Leo Carrillo's life and his preservation and conservation for the state of California. I am so glad I do now. He was an amazing man who made a difference. The park is beautiful: nice landscaping, peacocks roaming free, and places to have picnic lunch. There is plenty of free parking and handicap... More

Whole family attended this brunch and really appreciated this beautiful and historical location. Kids loved the peacocks everywhere and the activities.

If you are the same vintage as my wife and I you would remember the Cisco Kid on TV, this was the weekend retreat for Pancho ( Leo Carrillo ),the Cisco Kids trusty side kick. It was great to find out more about this man who was a child hood hero. The work that has been put into restoring the... More

Want a couple of hours to relax "away" from the city, without driving miles to get there? Visit here! There's much to see in this beautifully maintained historic CA ranch. Walking paths and picnic tables around the grounds allow for leisurely enjoyment of native So Cal coastal plants (California pepper trees, sycamores) beautifully coordinated with introduced ornamentals (bougainvillea, various cacti).... I came here for a wedding and it was beautiful. Very unique and Californian. Peacocks just walking around, a lovely pool and a secluded location. Loved it.

The buildings and grounds of this home/park are beautiful and they speak of the days when Mexico ruled California. Plus, you get a hit of Leo Carillo as a person who was a beloved Hollywood figure. Add a beautiful natural surrounding plus a bunch of peacocks strolling about, and you've got a real package!

A hidden gem in the middle of Carlsbad...this historic ranch of the 30's movie star Leo Carrillo is nice to visit. There is plenty of parking. There are several beautiful peacocks on the trails and the ranch buildings fun to look at.

Once a large ranch , now surrounded by homes. In the early days of Cinema, there was many westerns. One of them was the Cisco Kid and his trusted friend Pancho. Leo Carrillo was Pancho and left his mark on California. It is nice to see that they have preserved his home as a museum and captured a piece of... More

Went here this weekend for my sisters wedding. The venue was beautiful! Complete with peacocks, a pool, historic ranch style buildings in a park setting. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location.
