So nice. Visitor center has short, interesting film. The docents are very helpful. The park gives you a glimpse of what old California was like and it only takes a little imagination to block out the new California on the surrounding hills to get a feel for the life 70 years ago. Prefowl roam around and let you get close.... More

I had seen this historic park on tripadviser so went to visit. GPS took us to a walking trail behind the museum so drove a couple of blocks around and found the parking lot. Very interesting ranch and museum. Did not realize that Leo Carrillo was 70 years old when he did the Cisco Kid television series. They have guided... More

Although this park is not on the ocean, it makes a wonderful visit. Leo Carrillo, AKA "Poncho," bought and developed this ranch and raised cattle for many years. Carlsbad took over and has continued to develop this facility. The guides and staff are very helpful. They are knowledgable take time to tell you about the park. This park gives a... More

I watched the Cisco Kid and Poncho when I was a kid. Loved learning about Poncho and what a great person he was. Free admission and tour. We lucked out had a tour guide just for the two of us. She was great explaining the history of the ranch and Leo's love of this place. Highly recommend this place .

We visited this place just about one week ago and loved it. Our tour guide Ron did a fantastic job and brought live back into this ranch. It didn't take much fantasy to see Hollywood stars everywhere and wish you'd lived back then... Don't miss out on this experience!

This was a surprise find. The ranch was owned by Pancho of Cisco the Kid fame from the 20-50's. Our visit started with a short film about the actor who owned the ranch. The volunteer at the ranch was very enthusiastic and informative. She is an asset to the park. The property is lovely and a great event venue.

We have been here countless times. Perfect place to let small children run around safely. Sometimes there are lots of peacocks out and about and sometimes not so many. But we always have fun walking/ running around and playing. Look for the albino peacock (very rare) behind the shed. There are tables and chairs and a nice patch of fake... More

Attended a 50th birthday party here recently and the experience for all of us was wonderful. What a great venue - rustic charm, beautiful location nestled in a valley and great layout. The pool (off to the side of the property) is not gated, so anyone with adventurous, non-swimmer kids should be aware. Ample parking. Presence of roaming peacocks is... More
