We had a great time on a Fun Cat on Labor Day! I highly recommend renting one of these if you're looking to cruise around on the water effortlessly. So many people were exerting themselves kayaking and paddleboarding and stared with jealously as we effortlessly cruised by on our shade-covered lounge chair on the water. All it takes to operate is two fingers!
The rental process was pretty smooth. There was a line out front of the office but we didn't have to wait more than 5-10 minutes. Contrary to what others have said in reviews, the office seemed to be operating under COVID-19 standards and procedures. It's the customers who were disobeying the rule of "Only one person per party allowed in the office at a time", and the people working behind the desk are probably too nice to tell the extras to leave.
Once we checked in (took about 2 minutes because I was well prepared), picking up the Fun Cat was a breeze. We walked to the dock and were shown our boat right away, and away we went! We were told to stay within the buoys, so we weren't in any danger from the boats or jet skis. We didn't experience any problems on the water...just smooth cruising. You seriously have to rent one of these! It's the best way to relax on the water. Paddle boarding / kayaking is nice if you're looking for a workout.
The only bummer was that I left my ID and credit card with the rental office and had to drive back 30 minutes each way to go get it. Don't forget to pick up your ID and credit card after you're done!

The staff there is very friendly. We felt safe because they were all wearing masks and encouraging the customers to safely distance. Masks were required while inside renting the equipment, but not outside. We rented a SUP and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

My 9 year old daughter and myself have never been kayaking but my son (15) has and loves it so I bought our family kayaks this year… I know jumping the gun but I knew my son would use them. I decided to rent kayaks here for us to start practicing and learn.
I booked on their website and did the waivers for the three of us online. Super EASY. We got to the location and checked in and walked down to grab gear… all of the staff from the girl at the register to the young man that helped us get gear were amazing. Super sweet, patient and helpful with making sure we were good to go.
We spent two hours out on the water just practicing what worked best for us. My son was teaching us how to maneuver and we would switch back and forth with being with my young daughter on the double kayak.
When we returned at the end of our time the young man who helped us get started was still there and helped us get settled and he was just as sweet as he was when we got there. He made sure my daughter safely got out and then asked how everything was.
So much fun and we are definitely going to go back to practice some more. We might even take our own next time so we can get use to them since for a small fee you can launch from there.

Please be aware that many people are congregating without a mask. When you go in the rental place people lined up are not 6 feet apart. We paid for a rental today and ended up leaving because it scared the heck out of us. There were groups of young people without masks and many people not respecting the 6 feet away rule.
It is a great resort activity however it seems as if no one is in charge or cares if people keep social distance.

Pictures are deceiving. It’s not that nice. This place has so much potential to be a premier water activity area. The kids who run it are nice, but it’s a mish-mash of delapitated, poorly planned, crowded space that ultimately feels trashy. It’s clear that the owners don’t invest in the consumers experience of the setting/environment.

We took the Fun Cat I believe it was called or the the floating lounge chair. Battery powered two motored leisure ride. Stay to the sides, out of the real motorized boat lane. Someone might mention that you might get seaweed wrapped around your propeller and you might really have a problem getting back to the dock. Basically a $200 ride ruined because my right side motor overpowered my left side motor and getting back to the dock was a struggle. To top it off, no apologies in the end just a probably seaweed, that's the problem 99% of the time.

We spent a morning kayaking around the lagoon. The weather was perfect and the kayaks easy to maneuver. The areas separating the kayaks and paddle boards from the motorized crafts was spacious and well marked. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Parents beware of this expensive camp! Water sports are minimal.
Campers go to a crowded bounce house twice a day. Mine were not allowed to
go in there due to COVID issues. Surprised they were even allowed to have that with all the COVID restrictions. No one supervise social distancing or wore masks.
Nothing clean about this camp and minimal supervision by counselors.
Extremely disappointed! My 3 campers did not really enjoy themselves.

This was the best experience! Shout out to Josiah for making my fiancé’s birthday the best. We’ve been here twice already just in August alone and plan On coming back in October. So much fun and they have so much to offer. As a San Diego native I recommend them over any other water sport rental place.

Yes, we brought a cooler with drinks and beer. Just be mindful that it is a family setting and I don't foresee it being an issue. There is also an area they rent for gatherings of groups that have tables and I think a grill, but you can take your own stuff and set up where space is available. It's first come, first serve.
