My family and I love this place! The wave runners are a really fun way to spend a hot day on the water. My 16 year old loved being able to go on alone and my 13 year old enjoyed being able to drive with me behind... A little intimidating but so much fun. They even allowed us to bring a cooler and drinks on the beach. Overall my family and I enjoyed our day at the Carlsbad lagoon like we always do.

Fun afternoon on the lagoon; however, we were pressured into booking for 2 hours by the sales staff. Also, when we changed our minds about renting tandem kayaks instead of paddle boards, they wouldn't issue a refund. We paid for 4 toys when we only used 3...and they just said, "too bad." It was only $50, but it jjust put a damper on the beautiful day.

We came here for the jet skis. I wasn't sure if I should have purchased 1 hour or 2. There was a better rate if you bought 2 hours. I was assured by the counter girl that if I bought 2 hours and only used an hour - that I could get a refund and be charged for the 1 hour rate. I bought 2 hours but it turned out that we only needed an hour. I requested a refund and was given tokens for a future visit - there was no refund. The tokens are worthless to us because we are not from the area nor do we plan another visit anytime soon. The jet skis were fun but you can only go in one big circle. After about 30 mintues - I think most people will be done.

Do NOT rent a water tricycle or a swan if the is any breeze! My daughter rented a swan , the 1st one stopped working after getting 50 yards from shore. The 2nd swan started sinking. They gave her a water tricycle, and it had a bad sprocket after taking it out. We had to push it back along the shore. Not even an apology. I'll never recommend this place. Rent at your own risk. For the cost, one would hope that the equipment was better taken care of.

we used the layal and the paddleboards, other were jetskiing. Lots of fun, easy to paddle board because the water is very flat. Fairly inexpensive and good for kids

What a fantastic experience! All the people that worked there were so nice an accommodating. Everyone of them obviously love their job (how could you not). I work at a local hotel and took my staff down to play for the day for a team building outing. We will definitely be back! Not all of my group was familiar with water sports but with the instructions given by the staff everyone tried various toys (SUP, kayaking, peddle-bikes and wave runners). They even have a BBQ/picnic area overlooking the water and a nice store. I noticed they were even building brand new bathrooms and shower facilities.
So I haven't been waterskiing for approximately 25 years and somehow found myself behind the boat wearing a wakeboard on my feet (scared to death)! But thanks to the young guys that teach this sport on a daily basis to beginners (Gaaron and Ian) I gave it a go and couldn't believe it... Up on my first try and didn't break anything and had a blast!!! Thank you so much Josh, Gaaron, Ian, Jake, Gavin and the other handsome young man with the dark hair who's name I forgot (so sorry)! Thanks for putting up with all us amateurs and making it such a great experience!!

Yeaaahhhhh Carlsbad lagoon!!! its January and i had a blast on the weekend riding on some knarly wave runners in the beautiful sunshine!! Idk if you have checked this so cal gem out but its the coolest place around. Open beach to hang with my family, get the kids out on some stand-ups, then take them for a ride on some yamaha waverunners. Really awsome customer service too. Just be prepared when you go, if you have any kids, for the debate on whether you shoul rent a canoe, kayak, stand up paddle board, the big water bike, or whatever else they might want to try. loved it, and the family loved it!!

This place is awesome!!! I went there with my girlfriends and we had a blast! I tried Stand Up Paddle boarding for the first time. They gave me a quick lesson on the beach then away I went. The board was very stable and I never even fell in. My other friends rented a waverunner and it was the most fun they said they have had in years. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back soon.

I just went to California Watersports last weekend with my family and we had a great time. I rode the waverunners with my two kids while my wife and her sister took my niece kayaking. Even my mother in law enjoyed herself lounging in a beach chair on their beach.(She never has fun) We could have spent the whole weekend there. They were easy to get to, their facilities were very nice and the staff was super friendly. I would highly recommend California Watersports to everyone.

I had a great time, I went down there with my family! I jet skiied while my wife and kids went Kayaking. They had their own private beach that we laid out on and had a picnic! The crew was great. The girls in the office were awesome at accommodating my family. The boys on the beach gave great instruction and were super helpful with the kids. My kids loved the lagoon, so we definitley plan to make this a regualr "weekend get-a-way"
