We arrived at noon. It was not busy at all. A queue of about 10 minutes and we went inside. The woodpeckers are a rare and stunning natural gem. We were with children in the age range of 4-18 and everyone had a great time. In one of the woodpeckers, a lot of plastic garbage accumulated in the water and it's a shame that there is no awareness in the reserve to maintain the place. It was disgusting.

Don't be tempted to take a golf cart to the beach if you are more than two people. A really inadequate attraction. The payment is per person and not per vehicle, so as a large family we paid close to NIS 300 for a miserable one kilometer ride on the road alone. A trip that can be done more comfortably with a private car.

To be honest, I was there a very long time ago, as part of an excursion, but I still have impressions and I really want to share them: Rosh HaNikra is a white rock that partially extends into the sea, thanks to which, (and also rainwater, wind, weather natural changes) - wonderful grottoes with water that seemed to glow from within were formed in the rock. The walls of the grottoes themselves are painted in yellow, beige, green, lilac, brown, and gray shades, which gives the reflections on the water corresponding colors in addition to blue.
In general, I would definitely recommend visiting this place, if only to add to the vivid mosaic of impressions from Israel, where there are so many more unforgettable places!

I have been to Rosh Hanikra multiple times, and I love it each time. This past visit was powerful. The storms and rain the day before necessitated closing some of the rear grottoes, but there was still so much to see. The waves were powerful that day, showing how these beautiful caves were carved out. The water color is amazing. The history of the railroad passing through these tunnels and the Jews blowing up the rails under the noses of the Brits to prevent a Lebanese attack is also worth the visit. There is a short film to see. The ride down the world's steepest cable car adds to the whole splendor.

The site is beautiful and recommended but, at the moment, because of restrictions of people in confined spaces, we waited for 1.5 hours outside to get to the cable car. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they distributed ices to people waiting in the hot sun. However much they tried to enforce the social distancing, the visitors would not adhere to the rules. I recommend arriving first thing in the morning to avoid crowds.
It was worth the wait though.

It is a nice place, but I think it is also one of the most overrated and overpriced tourist attractions in Israel. We arrived at 9 (when they open the doors), and got to the grottoes at 10. The lines are very long even in the morning and we had to wait mostly under the sun. The grottoes are nice but the water inside was full of garbage which is really disappointing. The whole grotto experience is not more the 20 minutes. After that we wanted to rent bikes, but after we had seen those very neglected and rusty bikes we opted for the golfcar. You can drive it to the neighboring Betzet Beach. But if you go to Betzet you can drive/walk the same path - for free. Going back we waited another 40 minutes (no shade).

The rock formations are special especially with the very blue water. It is a good place to visit if you are already in the Haifa/Galilee region but definitely not a must. Visiting Akko might be more interesting and if you do not have a car it is also fairly hard to get there with public transportation.

Seeing the Mediterranean Sea from the top of Rosh Hanikra is very beautiful but the descent in the cable car reveals vistas that are just breathtaking. There is a short film in one of the train tunnels when you reach the bottom that helps visitors orient to the history of this amazing site. The walk through the grottos is gorgeous & inspiring...to see the turquoise waters crashing against the rocks as birds shelter in their clefts is very moving. This is an absolute must-see site on the border of Lebanon for every visitor to the Land of Israel. There is a lovely gift shop, clean bathroom facilities & a lovely gift shop & snack bar. Rosh Hanikra is accessible from Nahariya via Bus 31 or by taxi. The cablecars down to the site can accommodate wheelchairs, although there are a number of steps at each of the grottoes & the ground can be wet & slippery. Snacks are available as is casual outdoor seating & there is more substantial fare at the kosher restaurant at the entrance to the site. Rosh Hanikra is a five star experience definitely not to be missed. It is a jewel in the crown of Israel’s northern region.

We enjoyed our visit here but unfortunately came on a day when there was a storm and the surf was so high you could not really walk very far into the cave. Indeed, the waves were so strong, we got quite wet. That said, we enjoyed our visit and had a nice time and would come back in calmer weather if we are there again. Checking on the weather before going out to the area is likely a good idea.

Beautiful site to visit with family and kids all ages. Your dogs included! The term to get down there is short and not scary at all. The tour is beautiful. Make sure you're coming with good shoes cause it's really slippery there! Don't miss this

We were here around 7 years ago, and we wanted to bring our 6 yr old grandson. We were lucky, predicted rain didn't materialize and it was gorgeous out. It is just a breathtaking place, as nice as I remembered. Parking is easy, the wait for the cable car down to the grottoes is quick. My grandson absolutely loved it all. We went to the little film, but it is all Hebrew with a bad sound system, so I understood almost nothing. It's short anyway. We did a second walk through the grottoes afterward, you can go in and out as long as you like. After that, we did a hike with our dogs down the hill to the rocky shore and explored. It is just stunning. To do that, walk a few minutes down the hill from the parking, you will see a break in the guardrail/fence and the trail goes down to the coast.
