The Church at Tabgha is also known as the church of multiplication since Jesus performed one of his miracles here of the 5 loaves and 2 fish!! Though this is one of very minimal looking churches here it is still very significant because of what...More

Another of Jesus miracles. Here he took two fishes and 5 loaves of bread and fed thousands. One must see the 5th century mosaics. One depicts the fishes and loaves and the other some wetland birds.

Byzantine Christians built two churches along the shoreline to recall two separate events in Jesus' life: the feeding of the 5000 and the restoration of the disciples, including Peter, that followed the miraculous catch of fish.

I was captivated by the floor mosaics. So very beautiful. The church itself is very low-key, a refreshing change from the over-the-top places. The visitors inside ebb and flow with the tour buses' arrivals and departures, but it is possible to sit and just experience...More

I am not a fan of churches built by on top of real sites. This is another place one. Also, the site of the multiplication of loaves and fishes is not certain, hence, this site is crowded and almost worshipped when it may not be...More

Absolutely minimalistic but Serene. Seeing the stone on which allegedly stone was transformed to bread 🍞 brought all sort of immagis to mind.

A lovely church from the outside and quite simple inside. But of major traditional significance because it commemorates the Feeding of the Five Thousand. And in this church is a rock on which Jesus is said to have laid the loaves and fishes before starting...More

A must visit while in the Holy City. A terrific reminder of the journey of our Lord Jesus Christ. Right in the heart of Jerusalem.

This church commemorates the place where Jesus multiplied fish and bread in a wedding upon Maria asking him . The very ancient mosaics must be appreciated

What a lovely idea! The money can be converted. I wouldn't know where to send it. I would research it online to be sure it gets into the right hands.
