n 2017 I had a life-changing experience. On a spiritual journey to a temple, I found myself amidst an 8-day pilgrimage filled with spiritual self-reflection and calming walks around the complex to make the 108 sacred circuits. In this state of tranquility and contemplation, I was able to find a sense of inner peace that I’ve carried with me since then. After 6 years, this is still one of the most amazing and unforgettable moments of my life and one that I hope everyone is able to experience at least once.

Towards the lower part of Paro, is a place, called Drakarpo. Guru Rinpoche had personally meditated in this monastery and many body prints still stand on testimony. Just below the monastery, one can see a cave where one has to pass through a narrow hole between the rocks to assess ones acts – pious or sinful.

Within the cave, one can see the print of the Guru in a cave and one can see the images of a sinful and pious person in the cave. In the cave, there is the print of Paksamjoenshing. Besides all, one can see the miraculous footprint of Guru Rinpoche.

Guru Padma Sambhava is said to have visited the site and had blessed it extensively so that whosoever visit's the site of Dra Karpo is said to be cleansed of all defilement's from one life time. It is also believed that, whosoever completes 108 rounds of circumambulation of the cliff will not go to hell in his or her next life.
