Probably one of the prettiest golf courses in the area. Like playing golf in a national forest. However, be warned: it's target golf with virtually no level lies. When you miss, you MISS(it's gone). If you don't know the course, it will absolutely crush you. My best advice is to enjoy the scenery and don't worry about your score.....

Well maintained, beautiful course a little bit off the beaten path. Lots of nice elevation changes, Unfortunately we got completely rained out after the 5th - fairways turned into lakes and greens had mini-streams running through them. Our experience was not the norm, I'm sure, as the area appears typically pretty dry. The die hard golfers in our 2 groups... More

This has to be one of the best experiences I've had golfing. This is truly a hidden gem. The course is well maintained and is very challenging. Lots of fun! Staff are very nice. A definite must play for any golf lover!

This is a great place for a game of golf, booked a tee time whilst we were still in the UK,and arrived a bit of early, but no problem at all.Not expensive to play including a golf cart, which you do need, and good food in the friendly clubhouse. All in all,a super days golf in stunning surroundings.

Apple Mountain is one of the prettiest places that I have ever played golf. My first round of golf was at Firestone in Akron Ohio. That was 40 years ago. I love to play golf...not because I'm good at it, but to me it's like a walk in the park. Apple Mountain is a hard walk and I'd recommend a... More

Unless you live in the Placerville area, you likely do not have a golf course like this where you live; a mountain course with towering pine trees lining each fairway and HUGE elevation changes. On almost every shot, you'll be hitting uphill, downhill or side hill. However, it is a fair test of golf, and it is a really fun... More

Ok if you need exercise this is the course. It is beautiful in the forest. We still can't figure out how they carved this course out of the forest. It is a must to golf for the beauty of the course. Very interesting par three hole with elevated tee boxes

I played Apple Mountain for the first time in August 2015 when visiting from CT. One of the top 3 courses I have played for an all-around experience..challenge, views, conditions of the fairways and greens! Very few "gimme" holes...club selection and accuracy are important. I was lucky enough to golf with a regular who knew the layout and fairway slopes... More

This course is my favorite. It is certainly not an easy course to play but the views make it all worthwhile. The fairways are unforgiving if you can't hit the ball straight. Many a ball has been lost on this course. Carts are mandatory, walking is not allowed, the hills would be killer. A bit pricey but good deals can... More
