We were in Sacramento for business for two weeks and headed up to the Camino area based on a suggestion. We had a great time and swung by the Jack Russel Brewery on one of the nicer days in February. Had a great time sitting on the patio and trying some beers from the brewery. Really enjoyed the seating, although,... More

The sun was out. The temperatures in the 50s on this fine midafternoon jaunt out of Sacramento and into Apple Country near Placerville. Found this place as we meandered through Apple Hill's many many orchards, shops, wineries, and eating stops. I tried the a flight of their darkest beers: porters, stouts, and triple ales over a basket of garlic fries.... More

I've been going here for years and have seen ownership change a couple times. The current owner is making the beer and the grounds better than ever. The beers are good, especially their darks. There is plenty of seating w/ tables and umbrellas making it a very nice environment to sit and relax and have a mountain brew. It gets... More

Ended up staying a few hours here after visiting Apple farms that were packed with people. This is a good alternative if you don't have small children with you. They offer awesome cider and beer tastings. There is food outside which consists of chicken sandwiches and burgers, fries. Very fresh! There are patio tables all around the building. We ended... My wife and I have been coming here for years every October during the "Apple Hill Season" if you will. My wife does not drink beer at all but loves all their ciders, cyser, and some wines. Myself, well I have yet to find a beer they brew that isn't good! I definitely have my favorites, but have not had... More

We always stop on our weekend from the Tahoe Celbrity Pro Am. Great beer and good family atmosphere. New couples every year and they were delighted on this stop. We did travel the area when apple hill was dormant. Be Careful on timing.

GREAT beer. Newly remodeled last year with a very nice concrete patio area with many tables that are umbrella covered. I don't know if it is a sign of the drought but the 1/2 of their area that is grassy is now dead and dusty. They still do not bottle their wine that is from the "cave" behind the brewery,... More

We visited with friends from Texas last week. Area is gearing up for the beginning of Apple season which starts 4 Sept 2015. Only a couple of other people were there but we had a great time anyway. Stopped at the Subway off the freeway and purchased sandwiches to take with us to the Brewery because we knew food was... More

Visited here on July 12, 2015. Tried the mead samplers and the our party of four sampled two flights of beer all different. These are generous pours so sharing is perfect otherwise you will need a driver or a tent. I am not a fan of the mead but there were several of the beers that I liked. Fun place... More

Our family met for a Mother's Day picnic. We enjoyed the picnic tables with tablecloths and umbrellas and the variety of beverage options (something for everyone). The atmosphere was friendly and the view was very nice.
