We come here several times a year and sometimes will stay on Moonstone Beach as a "local." The boardwalk has beach access to unusual sandstone formations from water erosion on the rocks. Great place for shutterbugs.

We enjoyed walking along this wooden trail above the beach. The trail goes down to the beach and to beaches with tide pools. The trail is for walking, no bikes.

I'm staying at a hotel along the road, and it's been such a unexpected perfect spot for me. You can stay at a hotel along this street, then walk across right to the wonderful boardwalk. There are a few areas where you can access the beach via stairs, but it's limited to protect the plants. My stay was mid-week, and... More

Walking the length of Moonstone Drive on the boardwalk is a treat not to miss when visiting Cambria. For me, it was a perfect setting for photography, for relaxation, and simply taking in the views. You can see numerous seals, otters, and sea lions both out swimming in the water and basking in the sun on the rocks on the... More

This is one of my favorite places to stay. Love beach combing and this beach has so many pretty rocks and sea glass. Lots of good hotels and restaurants. Best thing is it's not overcrowded. Several great hotels to choose from.

A great drive to catch the sunset. We walked along the beach and saw seals resting on rocks at the far end of the beach.

Whether you walk down Moonstone Drive or motor along, this is one of the most beautiful stretches of beach around.Small, personal bungalow type hotels dot the landscape and you see ocean, surf and cliffs below you. The beach, just feet from the roadway, is accessible and lovely to stroll along. Sunset is usually breathtaking and I'd say the same for... More
