Moonstone Drive is lovely. I'd highly recommend pulling over and taking a walk along the wood plank walkway and/or stretches of beach. The beach is a unique pretty brown color and the tide pools are a lot of fun to explore. It's right there...you do not have to walk far to enjoy it all.

This is a wonderful easy walk along the coast, flat, handicapped accessible, dog friendly (on leash).

Easy boardwalk, probably 30 minutes walking end to end. Great sunrise and sunset, waves crashing on rocks at times.

So beautiful. We are so glad we didn't miss this! Worth taking the time to see it no matter what time of day. Whole different side of Cambria. Take time to go further to see the elephant seals as well. So interesting!

While traveling on highway 1, if you would like a brief change in scenery and an opportunity to stretch your legs, this may be just the thing for you. It's small coastal USA at its best with great hospitality and friendliness with the Pacific right next to you and a string of inns, b&bs and a couple of places for... More

Took my puppy and never had to worry about getting sand in the car. A very nice loop with views in all directions.

Great place to take a long stroll on a wooden plankway and checkout all the wonders and tidepools, seals, birds, chipmunks, squirrels, pelicans, echinecia plants, and gorgeous rocks ans beach. did I mention the great ocean smells? Almost always cold and windy here so bring a sweater or jacket. Could be 10-20 degrees colder right here.

We love Cambria and recommend to everyone to stay on Moonstone Drive at least once. We have been coming here for 13 years. Hotels can be pricey but the location, boardwalks along the coast, and views are priceless. While you're there, add in a walk on the "Bluff Trail," you will not regret it.

Moonstone drive is a nice place to stop on the way up the coast. There's not much to do other than take in the beautiful scenery and breathe the clean air. It's also a nice picture spot. We picked up sandwiches "to go" in Cambria and ate lunch in the car before walking along the beach.
