Gorgeous Views!

At the north end of Moonstone Beach is Leffingwell Landing. Numerous tide pools. Great place to breathe in the fresh air. Was a wonderfully foggy morning when we visited.

Leffingwell Landing Cambria is a great venue to look west over the Pacific, south along Moonstone Beach, and north to San Simeon Pier, and Hearst Castle. The "Landing" has parking area right on the ocean. On a foggy, cool morning, we have sat in our car with coffee and Danish looking for whale spouts on the horizon and sea otters... More

This beach is a very short distance from Moonstone Beach in Cambria. The views are breathtaking! We went there on a very windy, cool (but sunny) day so a picnic was out of the question. We went down to the beach which was lovely. But my DON'T MISS tip is this: Make sure you walk away from the bluff overlooking... More

Grab a sandwich at Sandy's in town and head fro Leffingwell Landing. This area is where they tried to build a pier but were unsuccessful due to shallow waters. Hence the San Simeon Pier was constructed. Not much shade but a great area to see the unusual shape of the California shoreline and enjoy the sound of the ocean. Access... More

Don't miss this wonderful short walk along the bluffs overlooking the beach and sea. In the spring, the wild flowers will be in bloom for your enjoyment and photos. Peaceful and beautiful, this is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and get away from it all. descend the stairs to search for shells or put your feet in the surf.... More

Walk down stairs to rocks and beach (watch tide though) to see tide pools. Most amazing photos here - water with light on it is always amazing here - special place. The blue-green water and ocean splashes are so incredible. A must-stop if only for a half hour visit.

I was a little wary of having a public venue such as a park for my wedding site. But, this was a wonderful place for us. You have to get a permit through the State park. They will only issue 1 permit for this type of event for the day, the catch is, you can't put up something that says... More

We enjoyed the views of the Pacific Ocean while we were there in October. We have been here several times and like the peace and quiet in this area. Its one of a number of stunningly beautiful ocean views in California of the Pacific Ocean. it is also a good place to have a picnic.

Peaceful, uncrowded place to reflect and unwind at the edge of the beautiful pacific ocean and southern border of Monterrey Marine Mammal Sanctuary.
