I live in Cambria, and this is one of my daily destinations! It's beautiful, and my dog loves it! You can bring your dog, and have it off leach! I do always keep a leach in my hand in case of any tourists with aggressive dogs. But in almost 30 years, not a problem! The park has a swimming pool in the summer. I've seen many weddings! A great cheap place for a reception of any kind! Right off HWY 1 on Windsor. You can't miss it! You can even walk to Moonstone Beach. But on the other side of Santa Rosa Creek, no dogs allowed! Just a heads up. County/State!

What’s better than the ocean. A nice park and public pool. BBQ pits, tables, grass field and then the beach. Moonstones, pebbles, ocean animals. Great relaxing and fun place

Park is right on the beach with a great playground. Could spend the whole day there between the play set, open area and beach.

After a few days of Spring Break, my kids were desperate for a playground. And Shamel Park has one - a great playground! My kids had lots of fun on the swings, bars, slides, etc. And the park is right next to the beach, so we were able to get a little more "beach time" before leaving Cambria. If you have kids, you should definitely go here for some playground action.

Shamel Park is the place for many local activities. It has a playground, a seasonal swimming pool, and a large grassy area. Fun place for families.

We had our two Shih Tzu puppies (3 & 4 months old) to play in the park. THEY WERE IN HEAVEN! I have driven past this area for many years but haven't had a real good reason to stop. SO happy I made the effort!

This park sits right on the ocean with beautiful open views. It was not crowded and I only saw a few workers enjoying their lunch breaks. There is a gazebo, playground, picnic areas, restrooms, horseshoes, and of course the beach. Parking is free and it is just a short walk from the parking area to the beach access. It was quite windy on the beach but we enjoyed searching for smooth, tumbled, pretty rocks and I even found an old shark tooth.

I love that Shamel Park is a park on one side and a beach on the other!! It has tables for picnics in the park and sand and the beach waves for exploring and swimming. It is dog and kid friendly. Always available for having a birthday party picnic celebration.
