Don't miss the sunset here it's enchanting. Bathrooms too. Beautiful trees and a gorgeous beach. Great for dog walking or just enjoying the view.

Clean Local Spot
Jul 2021
Clean, well run local park. Appeared to be safe and popular. Enough grass for soccer. Pool and kids play areas.

What’s better than the ocean. A nice park and public pool. BBQ pits, tables, grass field and then the beach. Moonstones, pebbles, ocean animals. Great relaxing and fun place

Shame to miss Shamel
Aug 2018 • Family
I love that Shamel Park is a park on one side and a beach on the other!! It has tables for picnics in the park and sand and the beach waves for exploring and swimming. It is dog and kid friendly. Always available for having a birthday party picnic celebration.

Great place for a party
May 2019 • Friends
Rented the space at Shamel Park for a 40th Birthday. Beautiful place. Nothing like the pristine ocean waves and a park too but this time of year is a risk regarding the weather. Really nice play equipment for kids and a BBQ pit if desired, but it was windy and pretty cold even at 5:00! Regardless of the chill in the air our hearts were warmed being together.

Make sure your dogs on a leash
Apr 2019 • Couples
Came here and had my dog. Took him off the leash as no one was around. Let him run for a little bit and the proceeded to a small stream. He loved playing in the water. Unfortunately the State Park Officer did not find it cute and promptly told me get my dog on the leash and out of the water. Had I not had my dog I would have walked up and down this beautiful beach. It really is a nice beach.

Family Friendly
Nov 2018 • Couples
This is a slightly rolling beach front park, complete with play equipment, nice grass areas and exposure to the beach. There is a seasonal pool and clean restrooms. A great place for a little play and a picnic. There are no places to buy food, but it's less than half a mile to eateries (many of which pack food to go) both on Moonstone Beach and West Cambria. One attraction of Cambria generally is, nothing is very far.

Great Hidden Gem
Oct 2018 • Couples
This is a great small Park in the Hidden Gem of the Cambria area. If you have a family with kids there's a playground clean bathrooms a small pool that's probably open on seasonal basis in a big grassy area. it's also very accessible to the beach and it's an interesting kind of beach it's where you can hunt for moonstones and interesting rocks but the surf is very very wild to have to keep a hawk eye on the kids. the noise the ocean is very relaxing and be very easy to sit on one of the upper benches and take a nap. There are shady places to eat a picnic lunch but I'm sure during the summer it's very crowded when I went in late October he was the weather was still nice but it was also lots of places that you can sit at a picnic table and enjoy. I think the beach is a great place for seniors as well or people with a certain age you can take your time walking and not really worry about being in anybody's way.

Playground and park
Aug 2018 • Solo
Great place to hang out. Terrific beach, playground equipment and restrooms. Beach isn’t dog friendly, but you can sit on the steps and take in the view.
