We had foursome booked on Tuesday but Evidently there was a tournament scheduled for that evening at 5pm. When we checked in for our tee time, this was not mentioned to us. We were not told that we would be bumped off any hole that we were on once the tournament started until we were on hole 5 when a Marshall came to inform us 445 that we need to move to hole 8 at 5pm. There were 3 groups in front of us and we were all pushed to hole 8 at 5pm. How does this even make sense? Needless to say we didn’t get to finish a full 18 holes of which we paid for and when we spoke to the tournament director Matt Pavin, he was a beyond rude, extremely disrespectful, arrogant and lied to our faces. He was not at the counter when we checked in for our tee time but yet he stated that we were told about the tournament and we shouldn’t be complaining and refused to refund us or compensate us in any way. Matt Pavin should not be in the hospitality industry in any capacity whatsoever as he is completely unfit to serve the public.

Water, water everywhere - standing water & mud holes on fair(?)ways; standing water on greens; bunkers were mostly wet clay with a little sand. Charged both of us the cart fee. Tee box markers laying in piles. We had ben here couple of years ago & thought we'd give it a look to see if improved. Hah!

This has become one of the better deals in the Ventura county area for golf. The previous owner of the club let the course go to pot and it was horrible. All the negative reviews are from the 2014-2018 range. The owners at that time let the park go downhill and it was a dog track for sure. I have played there in 2019 and 2020 and it is worth playing now. Fairways are back, greens are good .
The deal of a round, small bucket and sandwich for a good price is exceptional. Some interesting golfing holes here.
6800yds/133slp from the tips
6400yds/126 slp from the blues
I would recommend playing here as we are far from its ugly past.

Made a tee time to meet a friend from L.A., this is the halfway point for both of us. The course is in horrible condition and they were watering every hole as we played. Could not drive a cart on any fairway due to standing water from sprinklers, biggest issue is they didn't say when I reserved the tee time otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Feeling ripped off here, close the course until you can fix it.

played (?) here yesterday (9/21/18) in a charity tournament. The greens are in good shape but the rest of the course is unbelievably horrible. "Fairways" are weeds, crabgrass, bare dirt and rock hard. Sand was like concrete (balls bouncing in the trap? really?). It is supposedly under new management with plans to upgrade but should be closed until the do. I know of municipal courses in better shape than this. The driving range has grass, but same conditions. Tee box setups often left you on a hill.

I have golfed here for a few years and it has always been a very nice course in good shape. Either due to recent weather or over booking it was the slowest round and the grass has gone a bit dry.

The best public course in Camarillo. Friendly staff and great layout. Hard enough for the experienced player but fun for beginners.
Always plenty of wildlife and I have never played on a Sunday when there hasn't been a wedding going on.

Excellent course with plenty of variety throughout the course. Greens are fast, but the course is very open. Always a challenge, but fun. Very reasonable rates during the week.

Drove a long way to play here, only to find out they take very poor care of the course. So much of the fairway is just dirt, no grass and the bunkers are filled with pebbles. I would not play here again. Tee box location is sloppy, some boxes had forward and middle tees together. No cart girl for water or a beer and no demo clubs to try. Is this a real golf course??

My friends & I played here on 9/3/14. The conditions were deplorable. The tees were pitted, not green and placed in front of trees on several holes. There was water and not sand in the bunkers. Those without water, were hard panned. The fairways were in very poor shape with sitting water in many areas. I realize there is a water shortage in California, but they have small water hazards that they could be using to water the tees & greens. I spoke with other players who agreed with my above information. The powers that be, should be charging much less for conditions that people are paying for & playing on. This is not city owned, but private and the homeowners should be ashamed of themselves. My friends & I will not be returning until they get their act together.
