BEST wine and winery in the country!!
Dec 2020 • Couples
This is our favorite winery of all time after going to so many different ones over the years. We normally went to a few each time we came to Sonoma/Napa area, but over the last three times, we just came straight to Vincent Arroyo and ONLY here. Other than the most obvious reason why we keep coming back (BEST petite sirah in the WORLD), this winery has the most happy, genuine, friendly, and generous staff. I think we were with Jeffrey twice and he was brilliant. This last time we were with David, and he was absolutely pure joy and amazing!! He was so generous with his time and explanation (and the generous pour!!). We had the most wonderful & pleasant conversation with him about wine and wine making for a very long time. We were very grateful for the time and knowledge (and fun stories) he shared.

We highly recommend this place. Forget about all other ‘more famous’ wineries and just come straight here!! :-)

Excellent wines!

We enjoyed our visit to Vincent Arroyo. It was a fun tasting with some very fine wines. Their Petite Syrah’s were amazing! It’s a nice picnic spot.

Wonderful tour!

We had a great tour of the winery facilities and had a great explanation on how their wines are made. The tasting was so good! I think his name was Jim, he was very animated and kept us engaged.

A Must Do in Napa/Calistoga
Jan 2020 • Friends
Everytime we come to Napa Valley, we're scheduled a stop at Vince Arroyo Family Vineyard. There have excellent Petite Sirah, Cabs and others. The staff is always accommodating & give a good tour.

Their prices are excellent for the quality of their wines.

After the VAFV, outs worth the time to stop across the street at Vince's new winery, Otra Vez.

Top notch tasting
Nov 2019 • Couples
Arroyo has been one of our favorites for several years. This tasting did not disappoint. Ted and David are generous with their selections and their time. Make it a priority when in wine country.

Very nice people, but do not expect to be dazzled

The people who work there are very happy being there and that makes it fun to spend time with them. They are as good as you will find in Napa Valley. The wine is good enough.

My only concern is that the building itself and the tasting room should be much nicer, given how much money they make. Also, they should pave the gravel road.

The tasting room has a warehouse feel. I understand that they might be trying to promote themselves as a small family-run place, which it is. However, they can do better than having unfinished plywood walls. A place can have family charm and have the look that someone cares about the appearance of the room.

My assumption, which has no basis in fact, is that a bunch of guys run the place and their focus is on hiring really nice people and making good wine, thinking that is enough.

For me, I wish they got a woman or an interior designer involved, and I would like them to pave the road. We go to Napa regularly and I can quickly name many other wineries that covered all aspects of the experience, not just the people and the wine. Come on guys, get someone to fix up the room!

Fun experience with excellent wine
Aug 2019 • Friends
We took a chance with this small winery in Calistoga and booked an appointment with friends for a casual wine tasting. The wine tasting experience was so fun and lasted 1.5+ hours to our surprise. We tried a big variety of wines, heard fun stories, had many laughs. We later relaxed at the outdoor picnic area which was quiet and shaded. We thoroughly enjoyed our outing to this quaint winery. It was a great contrast to some of the huge busy wineries that rush through tastings and don't provide nearly as personable experience as we had here. Definitely recommend in Calistoga area.

Great Wine, Great Fun
Jul 2019 • Couples
What a great time. I think our tour was over 1.5 hours (maybe it was 2+) and we stayed afterwards at the outdoor picnic tables enjoying the wines we were provided and the scenery. If I remember correctly, our party of four liked all the wines we tried (there were quite a few) and we received an informative tour of vineyard with an explanation of its operations and history. It was a lot of fun. Very personal and I'd definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

For those of you visiting the larger vineyards and want to experience a smaller one for comparison purposes, definitely consider this one.

This was our best

Glad we saved it for the last. This is a small winery and they just do a couple of tours at a time so it is very intimate. Great wines and even better stories.
