The winery was great, We had a nice tour of the facility and vineyard. The tasting was amazing, the most bottles to sample of all the wineries we visited. Our representative had us try 12-13 different varieties and this included archived vintages. The oldest was 12-14 years old. This showed me how well the bottles will age if properly cared... More

Vincent Arroyo Winery is not famous. However the wines should be. The tasting room is part of the barrel room - nothing fancy - plywood walks and such. They like reservations so we called 5 minutes before we arrived and they said they could fit us in. Jim met us as we pulled in a took us to the tasting... More

This is the only winery I know in Napa Valley area that doesn't charge for doing a tasting. They have many different varietals that are grown on their 80 acres of land. The family controls the planting, growing, harvesting, making of the wine and marketing/sales from start to finish. And they have great ones to taste (and buy, if you... More

I wanted to drive into Calistoga and do a tasting at one of the wineries there and based on reviews, chose Vincent Arroyo. The drive to Calistoga along the Silverado Trail is really quite nice and shouldn't be missed. I was greeted by Teddy as soon as I exited the car and he was in charge of my tasting. Reservations... Very friendly folks who greeted us upon arrival. They gave us a tour and tasting. The wines were delicious. Outside of the winery were picnic tables surrounded by a small but pretty garden. The dog, Bodega, was very friendly and welcomed us. The tour was very informative and interesting. They are known for the petit sirah but We ended up... More

This is a small, laidback winery. The tour was extremely informative, interactive. A very good explanation of the winemaking process. We tasted a lot of wines here! All were good. Experiencing tasting a wine from the cask before bottling and actually ready was really neat. We all liked this winery very much. I liked that there was no wine club... More

You have to call and reserve, but the tour is free. They show you the vineyard, and then the oak barrels and some of the machinery. And then there's the tasting. My wife was sufficiently impressed she bought a few bottles. Charming, family-owned, and not too touristy. But do remember to call ahead for your tour!

My husband and I recently visited Vincent Arroyo and we are so glad we did! Jeffrey was our host and was absolutely a delight! They make you feel like family. We ended up buying some bottles of port and future petite sirah. So yummy! Can't wait to go back!

One of the northernmost wineries in Napa Valley, Vincent Arroyo Winery is celebrating its 30th vintage this year. Vincent is an engineer whose love of, and skill in winemaking is evident in evey glass that he and his genial staff pour for you in their rustic, but modern winery off Greenwood Avenue in Calistoga. Call for an appointment, and you'll... More
