Because Schramsberg makes sparkling wines, this tour is far different from most in Napa and Sonoma. Our guide offered an information-filled tour on the process of making their wines and the opportunity to wander through the caves crammed with 3+ million bottles of bubbly was unforgettable. The tasting also offered a good selection of their wines from moderately-priced to the... More

Our Inn reserved a tour for us on our three day trip to Napa. We are generally not sparkling wine drinkers with the exception of New Years but we were encouraged to visit to appreciate the history and labor intensive process for making sparkling wine. We had no comprehension of the effort involved to make a true craft sparking wine.... More

A lovely and fun 1 Hour and 15 min tour and tasting in their caves. A good overview of their Methode Champenoise, plus good explanation of the very long history of the winery and people that have owned it. One of Napa's musts, with what most folks consider America's best Sparkling wine made the traditional (French) way. And a very... More

One of the top tours in the Napa Valley, in my opinion. We greatly enjoyed seeing the caves and hearing about all the work that goes in to making their excellent bubbly! And to end the tour with the Riddler overlooking the little pond is awesome!

We did the tour. The grounds are lovely with a large pond. Before the tour we waited in the store which is a nice room. Our guide was delightful. Tons of info on the sparkling wine making process and the winery. The tour is about an hour with plenty of tasting opportunities. We went through the wine caves and got... More

We recently visited Schramsberg and what a wonderful tour! We have had their blanc de blanc champagne before, so we knew we liked it, but we really enjoyed getting to try all of the other things they let us sample. The cave tour was amazing - we learned so much about the process of making champagne and the caves themselves... More

Visited as a personal extension of a longer sommelier guided Napa tour. Probably our favorite. History, story of family, location and cellars are truly exceptional. You MUST book a tour (no walk in) but it is worth it to see caves, the production and then finish with classy, informative tasting. LSchramsberg may be creating 'champagnes' more tradionally than some French... More

I visited Fairfield five years ago to attend a dog training school. I visited wineries on the weekends to pass the time. Schramsberg was the most memorable of the tours that I did. This past July, my wife planned a Napa Valley tour for us, so I suggested that we visit Schramsberg. The tour was as good as I remember.... More

Interesting tour and great tasting. The making of sparking wine is very different than still wines so this tour will definitely teach you something new even if you've been to many other wineries. The wines, sparkling and still, are really nice.
