This was the first of 14 wineries we visited and the most memorable. We enjoyed learning about the Schram and Davies families, the role of Blanc de Blancs in Nixon's trip to China, the tour of the caves, and the beautiful grounds of the vineyard. It was especially interesting to see how so many thousands of bottles of sparkling wine... More

I had no idea what I would find when going to this vineyard tour. The champagne we had here was made for the first champagne toast with China and the US and continues to be enjoyed by every US president since. There were pictures on the wall documenting these events. Without saying too much, this place was a gem. I... More

The drive up to Schramsberg takes you up the mountain on a narrow winding road that feels like you're going through the heart of a forest. Once there, you check in at a wood paneled room with photos covering the rich history of the place - this place is a White House staple, but the staff is nowhere close to... More

This was a favorite on our trip! The road to the vineyard is very narrow and forest like! We took a tour which was well worth it, and learned the process of making champagne style sparkling wine, which was fascinating! The caves are incredible! This gave me a new appreciation for drinking bubbles! They have an amazing cabernet also!

If you enjoy bubbles you cannot miss a visit to Schramsberg. The caves were especially cool (in every way) on a 90 degree afternoon. Best bubbles around!

This is a "go-to" for anyone new to the Napa Valley experience. Important historical information and excellent tasting. Visitors are limited to groups of 8 so be sure to call well enough in advance to book a reservation time.

Tours are pricey and MUST be scheduled at least a week in advance. We didn't not do that. I went there to buy the Cremant which is only available at the winery. What we found was a very helpful sales staff and the most wonderful, shady garden in which to take breather from our wine touring.

I want to point out that they have probably one of the best sparklings in US. The history and view of the place are both worth some cost. However, we paid 100 each for the cheese and wine pairing tour/tasting and I don't think that experience was worthy. You joined a tour with 12 people so it seemed that the... More

A remarkable sparkling wine that represents the finest in California's wine quality. Schramsberg beats any of the great Champagne houses in taste and consistency. The tour is a full immersion into Napa history with a great tasting experience led by a knowledgable and genuine host/hostess. If you visit one sparkling wine estate in Napa, this is the one.

The Champagne tour is a must ! The history of this place is evident in the staff, including the "riddler" who turns the champagne. This stuff has been served at the White House and best restaurants for years...Get a private tour and see why.
