This was our least favorite winery that we visited. It felt way more touristy than any other place we visited (perhaps it was the queue for the gondola or the kids running around or the way we felt like sheep being herded down corridors). Speaking of the gondola, that was pretty cool but you know that's about their biggest perk.... More

We loved taking the lift over to the winery. I liked the layout of the winery and the views from the top. I think the price for tasting was very reasonable and they do offer food about halfway through the tasting. We also appreciated the open concept of the winery, allowing us to view the process of making the wines... More

Sterling doesn't have the best wine. What the vineyard offers is a fairly comprehensive look behind the scenes of winemaking and good views of the surrounding area. Wine lovers may want to look at other vineyards in the area. This place is best for wine novices or people trying to fill out an itinerary in the area.

The tram is great way to enjoy the beautiful view of the Valley. Certainly riding a gondola up and down is a lighthearted pleasure on its own. The self guided tour is pleasing and interesting, the white wine was cold and refreshing, great Cabernet and the fruity wine was flavorful. The terrace is gorgeous, spacious and the view is charming.

You can pre-book and avoid the line to the vernacular. Next time I would. Even with a self-based tour the stops for wine drinking makes it at least an hour. Stopping to enjoy the views, make purchases at the vineyard shop and grabbing a bite to eat might take longer. The staff along the way are friendly and happy to... More

So this tour want different than all the others because you don't really learn anything on it but do get to drink more wine than the others. It's self guided but allows you to go station to station trying all the different wines. You can even sneak back and get extra samples at all of them. Great views from the... More

We purchased the extra special tasting. This allows up to site down and taste some other wines not offered to the regular tour. They have menu you can order and buy food which is great when tasting. Unfortunately it took forever before the girl came back to see to us. We had already drunk our first taste and it really... More
