Nice tour but not the best

My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and we fell in love with this place. Probably the winery we talk most about to people. We loved the views you got to take in while in the gondola to the tasting room. And we went during grape stomping season! We got to stomp on grapes and put our footprints... More

1. Charged $29 for each person for 5 tastings and the cable car ride to the top of the hill. 2. The self guided tour was alright but the tastings were very less and served only once. The lady in the last counter(serving peach flavored wine) gave a feeling as if they were doing it for free and as a... More

Driving with my wife north of Napa CA in Calistoga we saw the STERLING WYNERY sign so we decided to go an take a look. We took the aerial lift Silver ride including the wine testing and paid the extra $30 (good for two) for the after the tasting tour reception including cheeses, nuts and cold cuts. The views are... Beautiful winery that has a tram to take you to the location on top of a hill. The views are excellent which make the tasting fun.. Not the best wines in my opinion but a great experience and you get to keep the wine glass!

Not the best winery. But, was on our list because we LOVE their wine. The gondola was great. I think it was 30.00 per person for the gondola and wine tasting. You walk from place to place for the tasting. Nice gift shop! Have to pay and take the gondola up to the winery. So if you don't want yo... More

We enjoyed the cable car ride up the hill and the views from the top. The wine tastings were good. We were expecting to see more of what actually goes on at a winery, but it was justed staged settings and there were monitors to watch or boards to read for information. It was extremely hot the day we went... More

This place has a great self guided tour. Very informational and you get to do your wine tastings while on the self guided tour. We were there during harvest season so the Vineyard was very active. The Silver Tasting experience gets you the best wines, they were oh so good!!

Arrived via shuttle and didn't have to wait too long in the queue (5 mins). The cable car entrance is quirky but doesn't last that long. Once inside you walk around trying 5 diff wines (if do bog standard tour) and see all the tanks etc. You get to keep your glass as a souvenir. Tour ok but not best

Go EARLY or there will be a line for the gondola to get to the winery. The views are amazing. The wine is great too. It's a bit far from Napa but worth it!
