If you're visiting the neighboring Castello di Amaroso, a stop at Sterling is highly recommended. The cable car up to the winery gives you a great view of the area. The tour is self-guided, which lets you taste and tour at your own pace. Weve always likes Sterling wines and so we were looking forward to some good wines to... More

Informative, but not boring. Good selection of wine for our tastes. My partner knows a good deal about wine, but I just know what tastes good to me. We were both satisfied. The tram ride was a one of a kind experience. Would definitely recommend to others.

The view is amazing! We enjoyed the self guided tour at Sterling! The gondola ride was really a nice touch! They also give kids a goodie bag with a juice box, gummies and a water bottle!

Kid friendly. Nice views looking out over the valley. Kids enjoyed the gondola ride and a little kit of goodies given to them.

We had a lot of fun here at our favorite winery of the day. For $39 we did the silver vip, which included a gondola ride over the vinyard, 5 tastings throughout a strolling tour of the building that had informational plaques, and 3 more seated tastings upstairs. We appreciated the water coolers throughout on this 90 degree day, and... More

Getting to the wine tasting area from the parking spot is totally different and unique to any other winery we have visited. You start your trip with a cable car ride up to the winery at the top of a hill, greeted with the first tasting and a souvenir wine glass. We really enjoyed the self guided tour throughout the... Sterling vineyards are just simply amazing. Me and my husband really enjoyed our time there. The cable carts ride gives the visit a special taste. The views from the top were breath taking. They also have great selection of wine. I would defined recommend this to anyone visiting Napa.

On our visit to the Napa Valley, we chose Sterling because we thought it would be best with teenagers along. Overall, we were satisfied with our choice. We were not in the area solely for the wineries, but thought we should tour one while there. I'm not sure if Sterling would fit the bill for those who were interested in... More

The fact that you can take an "over-the-vineyard" gondola ride, plus taking home a cool wine glass, makes the admission price of about $30 worth it. Self-guided tour, so one can stroll through. Cool original art displayed throughout. Bring your own picnic lunches are forbidden (unless you can hide bread and cheese like I did) so don't plan on it.... More

This vineyard is located at the top of a mountain, and you get there by riding a tram. Very scenic. Beautiful location. The wine tasting portion was somewhat disappointing. We did not get to pick any of the wines ... they were all pre-chosen for us.
