Ultimate Los Angeles Helicopter Tour was our tour. The team is fun and friendly and they receive you with a smile. Everything was super. The flight was so much fun, we learned so much, we had tons of fun.
Weather cooperated with us as well and our pilot was fun and knowledgeable, listen to us and learned quickly what we were interested in and what not.
Highly recommended, worth the price.

Ok, so we were looking for something to do that had that "WOW" factor while visiting Los Angeles. The activity that kept coming to mind was a hellicopter tour. After doing some research, my due diligence led me to Orbic Air, which we discovered is the only company that has a license to take off and land on a cliff mid way through the experience.
The ability to land mid flight and have a picnic is what led us to book their company over the others available.
Our pilot David was terrific. He was informative, personable and just made the experience extremely memorable. While in the air, he flew over at least 25 celebrity homes and pointed out prominent LA monuments. Such a different view from the air!
Landing on the cliff and having champagne and dessert was just surreal. David left us alone to have some personal time on the cliff overlooking Malibu and the ocean. He set up a picnic basket for us, popped the champagne. He was gracious and made us feel very "VIP".
In fact, we were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived at Orbic Air. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who's searching for an amazing LA experience!
We will certainly return for another flight!!!

I made the reservation a month in advance, and made a few calls to coordinate a special flight at sunset with a landing in Malibu. Upgraded to their Jet Ranger for an additional cost, plus made it a private tour for Valentines day. The night before the flight they called to tell me the helicopter tour I ordered was not available because their helicopter had to go in for maintenance. (shouldn't they have planned that in advance, and wouldn't they have known it wouldn't be available the day I wanted it??) They offered their small helicopter but I refused, I feel safer i the Jet Ranger. This was the biggest heartbreak for me and my boyfriend since, it was a surprise, and he has never flown in one before. Ruined my whole weekend. Very Sad and Disappointed. Won't use them again.

We are very sorry that we were unable to accommodate your flight on that special day. We too were extremely disappointed that the helicopter did not return from maintenance as was scheduled. Safety is the most important aspect of our operation and we would never return an aircraft to service before it meets the highest standards that our customers deserve. There are many great safe aircraft in our fleet and we made every attempt to offer you an equally memorable flight in another private helicopter, but we are sorry it was not the one you originally booked.

I booked this tour about a month in advance. Coming from the East coast to the West coast for a surprise engagement proposal on the mountain top. Upon booking them through the phone, I called back several days later to add a photographer. The photographer has been on this tour before so he's aware of policy etc... I emailed the staff their request for everyone's weight who was flying on the helicopter. Upon getting to Orbic Air, I was greeted by the guy at the front desk who stated he needed to speak with me in the back. He then explains that my photographer could not ride in the front of the helicopter and that I had to sit in a seat by myself in the front. The photographer basically had to sit in the back with my girlfriend, because of weight restrictions. I stated that this should of been told to me before I came all the way there and that when the photographer came before he sat in the front seat and even provided pictures as proof. They didn't believe me until I provided pictures. Furthermore the pilot leaves to speak with a manager, trying to see if there is anything he can do to accommodate me by having the photographer sit in the front seat. Once again the front desk guy comes back and says "your choice, refund or you can tell the photographer to stay back." Why would I tell the photographer to stay back if he's already paid for a job? He was very unprofessional from the start to finish. I asked for his manager and another guy came out and apologized and ensured me I would have a good time and I asked for a refund for the photographer's seat which was granted. Following that before we left the pilot asked the front desk guy for help with mounting the go pro live and he just drove away on the golf cart. The pilot attempted to mount the go pro and apologized only for me to get back to the hanger, upload the video from the helicopter ride and find out upon getting home that there was no video recording just still pictures. From that point I called back and they stated they don't know how that happened and would send out another video of the next helicopter ride that went out, which was 3 days later. About 2 weeks goes by and I call again to say I still have not received the video and they stated that they sent the video out. I receive a regular envelope in the mail and it was ripped open with nothing inside. Why would you put a SD card in a cheap envelope? They couldn't mail It in something protective where as thought it wouldn't rip? Especially coming from California to the East coast. I called once again to let them know what happened, they stated that they would send another video through the mail. 2 weeks later I called again to let them know I have not received the video and they stated that they could not send me another video and keep wasting money and they would upload the video on Drop Box and I could get it online. After days and 2 calls back I finally received the video through Drop Box, but viewed it and it disappeared. Terrible experience with this place from start to finish. Save your time and money and go somewhere else! Will also be contacting the better business bureau, yelp and other review sites as well. I'll be sure to make this go viral!

Had to re-book my ride to get a pilot within the wieght restrictions as I was going alone. I am very understanding as I have rode in helicopters several times and know the procedure. Arley (hope I spelled it right) was very apologetic about it and very helpful in booking the flight. Went up with pilot Dave in a two-seat helicopter. I was a little nervous at first but the ride was very smooth. I took the ``Hollywood Deluxe`` tour which was one hour. A lot of breath-taking views of the Hollywood sign, Downtown LA, Dodger Stadium, a few stars homes, Santa Monica Pier, up the coast to Malibu, through Malibu Canyon and the San Fernando valley. Dave was very knowledgable of the area and pointed out many items of interest. Would definitely go again and would highly recommend this firm to anybody else. The price is reasonabe. My pictures will show you a bit of what you can expect.

Loved this so much and will be talking about it for a long while to come. It was truly breathtaking and you really didn't feel like you were moving at all. The pilot was so lovely and showed us everything we wanted to see, he was so knowledgeable. Mountain landing with a champagne picnic was fantastic. This really was the most outstanding moment during my trip to LA. If you want to see where the stars live, don't bother with the bus tours, go sightseeing with orbic air instead.

Went for an hour long helicopter tour and got the best views of LA! I went on a gorgeously clear day and was able to see Universal Studios, the Hollywood sign, Downtown, the Venice Boardwalk, Santa Monica Pier, all the way up the coast to Malibu, over Topanga Canyon, and the mansions of Beverly Park before landing back in Burbank. My pilot Albert was fun and friendly and made me feel very safe as it was my first time ever in a helicopter! I would love to do it again and spend more time over the coast. Definitely a fun and fast way to see all of Los Angeles

Everyone at Orbic Air is nice and we were very well treated. The flight was quiet and well conducted by Jason, who showed us the main sights of the city. Sensational experience that we recommend!

During a recent visit to LA, my daughter and son in law treated me to a once in a lifetime adventure: an all inclusive helicopter tour of Los Angeles conducted by Orbic Air. This service is located at Van Nuys Airport and it's operation is housed in a building within the airport. Prior to travel the pilot details the flight features, drives the lucky passengers out to the aircraft in a golf cart, explains the safety features in detail and in a flash you are airborne!
The tour covers some studio sets, the hills around the City, the City itself and all of its surrounding beaches. The sites are incredible but a special add on is the familiarity the pilot had with the sights below (e.g. Mansions of the stars, historical perspectives, and tidbits about both). Since the pilot knew that my family was local, he made the added effort to fly the helicopter over the house where my kids live.
I cannot comment about the cost because it was a gift; however it was a gift of quality given by a fantastic son in law and daughter! I highly recommend it for anyone who really wants a "birds' eye view" of LA.
