Great tour of WB Studio - you will see places were movies were shot, learn some interesting facts about the industry. Do it for sure when in LA.

Even though it was raining the whole time (they give you ponchos!), it was an awesome experience. We did the standard studio tour. Our tour guide was funny and super knowledgeable about everything we drove past and went through. There's coffee at the beginning of...More

We had a great time on studio tour at Warner Bros. We were guided by Savanna who took us expertly through the entire studio, backlots, soundstages and more! We even sat down with a virtual cast of friends and enacted a scene inside central perk!

This is a working studio, so depending on which day you do the tour, you will see different things as there is more filming going on during the week, so some of the sound stages may not be accessible. We went on the week end...More

Universal Studios Hollywood vs Warner Bros. Studio Tour Holl (1 Replies)
We plan to visit Universal Studios Hollywood. Is it worth also to visit Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood?

Universal is a theme park with a back lot experience that is mostly rides, too. It is not a studio tour. Warner Bros is a studio tour, shorter duration, visit sets, no rides. You can do both, or one, or even none!
what area for hotel if I want to do these things>>> (9 Replies)
Will probably arrive late to LAX or nearby airport thanksgiving week. Want to go to Warner Bros. Studio Tour, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Museum, and have tix to Amer. Music Awards Sun evening (22nd). Anything tv/movie/movie star related is what my teen girls want to do in LA. What area of town should I be looking for a hotel? Thanks-

Venice Beach to Marina del Rey - Worth it? (6 Replies)
We are staying in Santa Monica (Georgian Hotel) for 2 nights in mid October as part of our wedding/honeymoon trip. On the first afternoon we are there (after driving across from Anaheim and spending a few hours on the pier before checking in), I had thought of maybe getting a cab to Venice Beach and walking from there to Marina del Rey, and having dinner at the Marina. Having read a few reviews, it seems like Venice beach might not be a very desirable area, so I was wondering if this is...More

Drive straight to your hotel and check in, do not go to the Pier first. Just check in, drop your bags (if you are too early for the room, they will hold them), and then walk to the Pier (about 5 minutes walk). It's all right there. You could have dinner in Santa Monica near your hotel - there is so much to choose from! Along Ocean is where most of the best restaurants are from Hillstone at one end (at 2nd St) to Ivy at the Shore at the other end. There's also just off the Promenade: Border...More
