The place was cold and the people not welcoming. The rooms were with very little furniture and very dark.

The castle itself is very big but you can visit only several rooms (1h or 1,5h organized and guided visits only) as the rest of the castle was under the renovation work (at least that's what I understood). It is very interesting for those who...More

The visit inside the castle was fantastic. I could even listen to the english translation on headphones. The gardens were perfectly looked after and the views from the top of the hill down are fantastic. It is a great view of the Morenic Amphitheatre.

I stayed at The Gardenia, a three star hotel nearby Ivrea. Not an expensive hotel but nice and clean with a good breakfast. Not very far from the castello.
