Youd think a winery tour would take you around the actual vines and wine making area. No this was a rushed traiose through a small museum. Which in itself was interesting but we had no time to read the info just listen to the rehearsed speech. We were then allowed to taste three wines and a chadha. The servings if these were generous. However I wouldn't make the effort if getting here unless you happen to ge passing by

We went and we saw the history of wine making in this village as it is very famous with the grapes crops. Very nice place and relaxing to visit.

The so-called guide has no clue about anything. Apart from the limited knowledge of English, she has absolutely no ideas about anything and cannot answer to any basic questions we have. They have a boring script, rush you through different items. All they want is for you to buy their wine. If you show no interest, the manager turns cold. He is only interested in getting paid. As soon as he got the payment he turned away. Could not care less about guests. They are more interested in waiting for a group of Russian tourists who is coming for lunch and no doubt will taste and buy a lot of bottles.

The price for museum tickets is exorbitant. Not worth the money, especially when the information you are interested in is not given. The owners - twin brothers - had invested a lot into building the facilities. But it is always the management, the staff, the attitude that determine whether it is worthwhile to spend your time and money there. And this important ingredient is usually lacking here.

Very good and clear exhibits that really explained and answered a lot of questions we had about qvevri wine making.

The location is lovely and it’s a nice place to sit and try some wines after.

A truly unique museum of wine and wine making where, with luck, you can see the fermentation process inside a qvervi. Plus an option to taste great wines and see how oven bread and chuchkellas (grape-and-walnut pastries) are made. Definitely recommended.

It quite interesting to visit this museum and wine cellar too... Staff is friendly and smiley.
Here you can have wine degustation and if you will come in vintage season, you can press wine in Satsnakheli - Georgian traditional winepress 😊
They have a guesthouse for overnight too, restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I've been here with my tourists and we stay happy with their service.
