Very good wine tasting experience made better by the interaction of Percy the wine host (sommelier). He didn't just recite the things about the wine but shared stories and thoughts and engaged with us.
Get there early before the wine tram as he may then be too busy to assist.

We reserved a table for lunch at the Wagon Trail restaurant three weeks before our planned visit. We arrived on time and each ordered the quiche of the day with salad believing it would be served quite quickly and thus allowing us to then do a wine tasting and keep to our schedule. We were the only customers in the restaurant yet 35 minutes later we still hadn’t been served and when I enquired was told that our quiche would soon be plated so we left.
Disappointing experience.

We chose this winery as our first stop on the wine tram. It was very quiet and tranquil as most of the others on the tram had disembarked on earlier stops. The person in charge of our wine tasting was knowledgeable and very pleasant. The cheese and charcuterie platter for two was delicious.
I would like to go back and see the microbrewery and buy some cheese but we didn’t have time.

This was the third stop on our Hylton Ross Winelands Tour. Here we tasted 5 wines with cheese and all very well presented and good tastings of both. The talk we had from our host was very informative particularly about rose wines. I was not a great fan but they are now much less sweet than they used to be and the one we had there was quite passable. Recommended

This vineyard blew my socks off!! The red selections are totally out of this world !
Ask for Shakil to take you on a journey through the wine ages and select the finest grapes and tell the best stories of its origin. This handsome, funny man takes the experience of wine to the most elegant level. Shakil and the Anura he presented truly makes me proudly South African.
Thanks again for the experience <3 see you soon soon .
Thanks and kind regards .

A bit too arrogant to my liking and too focused on an event group instead of the individual wine tram visitors. The grounds and the setting are beautiful. One of us was looking for a beer tasting but that was not possible due to staff being engaged with a fairly noisy group. The other was quite pleased with the wine tasting. Thus, a rather mixed experience; not very good but not average either, hence the four stars.

What a beautiful spot, and what delicious cheese in the deli! But don’t bother with the deli restaurant: waitress was slow, surly and generally unwilling. My Caesar salad arrived without the main ingredient in a Caesar: the Caesar dressing! I was offered a variety of sweet bottled alternatives like pomegranate and citrus, as it seems they do not do homemade dressings there. Pity as I really love the location

Unfortunately the staff is not very competent in the matter. The tasting is very touristy and served in tavern glasses! only when I asked for some particular wines then the quality came out! but they have no experience about it, they should travel a bit around the world and come to Italy.... hasty tasting and good food but little (we were 9). Recommendation other winery maybe to make comparisons (we did not have time).

No kids food available although it was was on the menu!
No chips available for kids although available when ordering with burgers...
Service was absolutely shocking!

If you are looking for a wine tour , go to anura ! Great staff!! Great place. You can taste wine and beer. We got an amazing wine tasting and we had a great time there. They also offer some chutneys , jams and other seasoning all made by Anura - ask for the olive chutney and buy a brie there to taste the wine
