Not a big sandy beach like Stinson, nice stop to collect driftwood and rocks with holes in them. When the tide is high, the beach is almost gone. There is also a great surfing lane, if you want to catch some waves.

I’m a 23 year old from philadelphia and I went out to California with my girlfriend on a whim. Fortunately she has some family in the Bay Area and I kept hearing the place “Bolinas Beach” come through conversation, and how heavily it was recommended...More

Up Highway passing Muir Beach and Stinson Beach around the Bolinas lagoon and then take you first real LEFT towards the water, no sign due to militant locals who want seekers and not as much tourists. Good food at Cafe and bar across street emblematic....More

MY dog and I loved our visit to Bolinas Beach. We didn't actually go swimming cause the water was brutally cold and pretty rough. We enjoyed running around, playing ball and interacting with the few people and other dogs out on the beach. Not crowded...More

We enjoyed visiting this beach as it is somewhat secluded. Having said that, there is not a lot of parking spots and the toilets are way out in the small parking lot so it can be a trek coming from the beach. Plan accordingly before...More

It's always great to see nature up close, but not always. A great Blue whale, about 80 feet long, recently was washed ashore near agate cove. In Bolinas.locals here don't usually see such things, so it was a curiosity and News to local TV stations....More

Famously, there are no signs on Hwy 1 showing you the way to Bolinas (it is the first left north of Stinson Beach off Hwy 1 just after the lagoon) and the locals are very touchy about the scarce parking. But after you navigate all...More

Gorgeous sandy beach with rocks and shells to collect. Larger at low tide. Signs saying "Groin" say "Naked Surfers" on the other side:)

Nice local beach where the community hangs out. It's opposite Stinson beach and Bolinas although the out of the way is easy enough to get to! Worth checking out. I found it very similar to an English beach rather than an Californian one which was...More

One of our go to beaches when it is 100 degrees inland is go to Bolinas. It has a beautiful beach and lots of birds to watch. It is also where Duxbury tide pools are. A fun place to explore.
