Doran Beach county park is lovely and peaceful. It is open for day use, equestrian riding, and camping. Great for families, with a flat sand beach and easy trails. Lovely views of Bodega Bay. Marsh areas undergoing restoration have a variety of birds.

We could hear sea lions nearby. The beach was pleasant and we walked all the way from one end to the other. Pretty and fun with a slight stink!!

Let's begin and end with the message that this beach is the safest place to go if you want to visit a North Coast beach. Seriously, Wright's Beach located a few miles north of Bodega Bay has had 126 drownings since the 1930s. Many North...More

Doran is a Sonoma County Regional Park with an expansive beach. It's protected by Bodega Head so there is seldom much in the way of surf, and the gradual shoreline makes it a safe play area for kids. It's a very popular beach, as are...More

For those who don't know Bodega Bay, you can't predict the wind and therefore temperature. It's beach weather with an extra kick... We have been here twice now, both in July. One year it was cool, warm, cool (in one day) and then just cool...More

Long sandy beach - great for kids - because waves are small- and for walking dogs. Plenty of tables for picnics (come early on weekends because the parking fill ups). $7 entry charge (Regional Park)

If you are in Bodega Bay, you should visit this beach. It is... a beach... not particularly interesting... flat, with a few trees... the wetlands behind it is more interesting.. a number of birds and wildlife to view. Some hiking trails... Parking is limited and...More

We have a dog with fear of other dogs and we're incredibly pleasantly surprised to find that every dog out yesterday morning (and there were lots) was on a leash as required and people were really respectful of our dog's space. He had a blast.

My adult kids have camped there with friends and enjoy it a lot. They also enjoy Lawson's Landing for camping at the beach.

I have seen people fishing, yes. There's not a store right near he campground but about a mile away in Bodega Bay town there are stores and a gas station.
