This is a pretty popular beach destination. The waves lap up gently and there is a good section of nice beach to walk. Tends to be windy here so if you're thinking of camping consider RV-ing it so you don't get blown away.

This is a lovely small park with areas out of the wind to walk. We enjoyed watching an osprey fish and caught glimpses of white pelicans as we left.

Stayed in our trailer at the beach it was delightful it's a rare occasion when there is perfect weather but we had perfect weather. I would get my reservations a year prior because you might not get a spot otherwise.

We paid $7 for a day pass but stayed for maybe 40 minutes. It was cooler out but there were people coming and going with horses, but they were also leaving piles of horse dung on the beach and the path too and from the beach. There were a few walking trails and looked like a nice park to spend... More

Always a nice week with occasional rain. Road has been repaired but getting a campsite can be very challenging due to their reservation system, one year to the day in advance. Great site this year, not so great for next year. Some sites are very short and not fully paved. It can be challenging for campers and staff due to... More

I guess I'm spoiled with lovely clean soft sand beaches. I did not like this area at all. The sand is dirty lots of gnatty kind of flies. We paid seven dollars to get in and spent about 40 minutes there. I suppose I'm spoiled but I have a much higher expectations for beaches. If this is the only place... More

I have camped here for eons..the price has gone up some much for not much more than we had in the past! They charge for entry; for camping; dumping sewer; boat launching; dogs... what's next toilets? The County taxes also pay for parks. This is a County park. Soon only certain people will be able to afford it here. Not... More

There is a campsite along the beach area. Mostly RV's and a few tents. We went in the morning and the fog was lifting. It was serene. The seals were sunning on the rocks. The beach was practically empty. Water and beach seemed clean. The bird walk marsh trail is at the entrance to the Doran Beach Park. An easy... More

Some nice walking trails. The area is under repair so be gentle. No signs to road. Few water fowl. Typical boats.
