Love Bodega Head, but wish there were more barriers to keep people away from the cliffs! Scary to watch folks get too close! We have seen whales here before and a nice couple took our photo for us! Great place to see the best ocean/rock...More

During a recent trip to Santa Rosa, I had an opportunity to get out to Bodega Head one evening. It was extremely windy, which provided waves for some interesting photographs. The evening light was incredible. Because I was in a business suit and wearing dress...More

You won't see the sunset from Bodega Bay proper. Head out to the headlands to watch the sun dip below the Pacific!

Incredible views! This is a wonderful place to watch the sunset. Bring a jacket because gets windy. Don't leave Bodega Bay without at least stopping here.

We drove up the road to the Bodega Head parking lot and did the 1.9 mile loop trail. The views are incredible. The trail provides views from the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean as well as Bodega Bay.

After we drove up the hill, the hiking trails start from the parking area. The trails are easy and short, some are less than 1 mile. The ocean and bay views are awesome. And there is a short trail with some steps to the beach....More

Even in foggy weather the views from Bodega Head shouldn't be missed. There are several walking trails that leave from the parking lot, at least one is wheelchair accessible. Fun to look down on a flock of pelicans flying past. Interesting and informative signs, too...More

Enjoyed the walk along the water. There were lots of birds and a good selection of wild flowers./ We were fortunate enough to see a whale and her calf out in the water. Bring a jacket, it can get windy.

Beautiful view, place to have picnic lunch, lots of parking and public restrooms. Great for picture taking. A bit of a hike to get down to the ocean no access for handicap to get to water but great view.

I did not take a dog that day and so did not look. In earlier times the dog was allowed on a leash. I think the trails are rather delicate now and much of the vegetation at the lower levels has blown away.

The parking lot has a few holes. But the viewing areas there are pretty easy and safe. There are trails on the hillside that power or beach wheel chairs could move on. But the view from the parking lot are real good.
