This is an ideal location for a swim or a fish. It provides lots of options for families to do an array of activities. The beach is great with a large grassed area for outdoor to picnic or to enjoy the outdoors. This area has recently been developed and now have some new restaurants available albeit a but pricey. Nevertheless... More

Just north of the CBD, City Beach is a beautiful expanse of white sand and never-ending ocean view, wonderful for sunsets. Along the beach there are restaurants for all pockets and facilities for swimmers. A good beach if you like to avoid crowds.

A very safe beach (with mild surf) and a structured groyne, and surf lifesaving beach patrol in summer. 2 older cafes and 3 new ones to choose...... from low cost pizza, to full dining, all perched straight in front of this great family beach. Plenty of parking surrounds, and bus from Perth as well !! Super casual and cool...with GREAT... More

Lovely beach with a nice footpath between Floreat beach if your wanting a nice walk. Loads of facilities and they now have a few more restaurants around the area. These range from casual to more upmarket. Very clean overall but I did find a few pieces of glass in the sand. I'm always very upset when I realise some people... More

I found the water clean but poor visibility, the sand is plentiful and ok for beach cricket, there is a large grassy area for picnics and dine in restaurants for those who can afford it. City beach is ok if you have a car, but if not then I found there is NO access to any shopping or cheap eats,... More

Excellent location and great a choice of restaurants. Best beach location in 20 miles of this area. Easy access to the beach for surfers, swimmers and boarders. Beach surf patrol on the beach

Sunset at City Beach Perth Australia. Magical experience, swimming in warm waters, amazing sights as sun goes down. Beaufiful.

I love this beach...partly because it's close and partly because it's so clean. There's plenty of parking during the week...weekend are very busy but aren't all beaches in the summer? Just get there early!
