Our guides Sarah and Carley were the best. We did the day ride which was about 2 1/2 hours each way. We went to one of the lakes and I caught two fish. The horses were amazing.

We were a party of 8 - four adults, four young children (6,7, 9, 10). They matched us up with perfect horses and mules to ride, all very mellow and sure footed. The vistas during the ride were stunning, and the staff was great. Very...More

Last summer I took the 10-day Evolution Valley trip. 8 guests, 2 wranglers, and one cook. I would not recommend this trip to inexperienced riders. While I loved the scenery, the horses, and the over all experience, be aware how challenging this is. First of...More

We were one of the first groups out on the trail from the Upper Rock Creek Pack Station. We were impressed that each animal had its own saddle, bit and reins, measured exclusively to them, and because of the care taken it took a bit...More

Went out on the first Mustang trip of the season. Temperatures were pretty cold but had a great time. Great horses, beautiful scenery, and a fantastic guide and camp crew. Patrick had hot showers up and running and maintained the fire to keep us toasty...More

Bucket list. Just finished their 4-day fall horse and mule drive. Amazing experience, fantastic wranglers, well-cared for stock (the owner is a vet). No matter how much you ride, you learn so much driving 50 head to their winter home. Rock creek does everything to...More

This review only concerns the North Yosemite Ride. This ride should be only for experienced riders although I think that horses are not really meant to be on these trails at all. The trails are rock, loose rock, smooth and slick rock, all rock and...More

A friend and I just completed the 7-day Northern Yosemite trip. There was nothing in the materials we were sent, nor on the outfitter's web page, that prepared us for the extreme riding conditions on these trails. Out of 12 riders on the trip, four...More

Went on the 1 1/2 hour ride up to Blue Lake with my wrangler, Bird. She was a great guide who knows horses and their temperament, knew the local plants and was just a joy to get to know. Beautiful ride up to the lake...More
